- Jordan seeks 100,000 tons of optional origin hard wheat for Dec-Jan shipment

- Apr 15 - Taiwan Flour Millers bought 85,710 tons of US wheat for June-July shipment. Spring wheat bought at range of 281.51-294.63 $/t fob and winter wheat – 241.55-243.98 $/t fob. They also bought a small amount of white wheat at 249.56 $/t fob

- Apr 15 - Japan received no offers for 120,000 tons of wheat and 200,000 tons of barley in a simultaneous buy and sell (SBS) auction. New SBS tender for the same amounts for each grain will be held on Apr 22

- South Korea Daehan bought 45,400 tons of US milling wheat for August shipment

- Islamic State (IS) imposes taxes on grain trade in Syria's Hasakah. IS radical group recently put portable balances on the road between Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor near the city of Shaddadi (40 km south of Hasakah) where the IS members calculate the shipments and impose 11,000 Syrian Pounds per ton (~52 $/t) on every trucker. The grain market between the cities in Hasakah province and the countryside of Deir ez-Zor is one of the most active markets in the region

- Kazakhstan's Ag Min said Kazakhstan exported 5.015 MMT of grain between July 1-Apr 10 vs. 7.296 MMT a year ago, incl. flour – 1.893 MMT in wheat equivalent vs. 2.414 MMT in the same period of 2013/14

- Kazakhstan's grain stocks as of Apr 1, 2015 accounted 9.956 MMT, including 7.046 MMT of milling wheat

- Apr 15 - Russia bought 14,580 tons of intervention grain (wheat). Making the total bought since Sept 30 at 573,190 tons, including wheat – 366,255 tons, barley – 113,650 tons and rye – 93,285 tons

- Russia's Ag Min said farmers planted 1.8 MH of spring grains through April 15, or 5.9% of the planned total planted area vs. 2.0 MH a year ago

- Russian Agriculture Minister announcing that there is no reason to cancel the wheat export tax ahead of schedule. The tax is set to expire on June 30
