- Mar 18 - South Korea's KOCOPIA bought about 54,000 tons of optional-origin corn from Cargill at 196.15 $/t c&f including a surcharge for unloading at a second port, for arrival by July 15

- Mar 17 - South Korea's NOFI bought 206,000 tons of optional origin corn for October shipment:

  • 68,000 tons of worldwide origin corn at the flat price of 192.90 $/t c&f for arrival around Oct 1
  • 69,000 tons of US or South American corn at a premium of 97 US cents a bushel c&f over the Chicago September corn contract (CU5) for arrival around Oct 5
  • 69,000 tons of US or South American corn at a premium of 96 US cents a bushel c&f over the Chicago September corn contract (CU5) for arrival around Oct 15. All consignments have a 1.50 $/t surcharge for additional port unloading

- Mar 17 - Taiwan Sugar Corp bought 20,000 tons of US yellow corn and 15,000 tons of US yellow soybeans for May shipment

- South Africa could start importing corn (maize) if stocks fall too low after unfavourable weather conditions reduced the expected harvest in 2015

- China has booked over 600,000 tons of corn from Ukraine this year and more deals are expected

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine has exported 25.791 MMT of grain between July 1, 2014 – Mar 17, 2015 including wheat – 9.509 MMT, corn – 12.085 MMT and barley – 3.936 MMT
