The Egypt’s state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) bought 180 KMT of French wheat on Tuesday, Sept 16.

GASC bought wheat for shipment October 11-20: 

  • 60 KMT of French wheat from Soufflet at 247.35 $/t c&f (227.97 $/t fob and 19.38 $/t freight)
  • 60 KMT of French wheat from Granit at 247.35 $/t c&f (229.55 $/t fob and 17.8 $/t freight from Copa)
  • 60 KMT of French wheat from Cargill at 247.79 $/t c&f (229.99 $/t fob and 17.8 $/t freight from Copa)

GASC has bought 1.365 MMT (600 KMT from Romania, 470 KMT from Russia, 240 KMT from France and 55 KMT from Ukraine) of wheat on the international market since July 1, the start of the 2014/15.

Egypt purchased 5.46 MMT of wheat from abroad in the 2013/14 fiscal year in addition to 3.7 MMT of local wheat
