The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Wednesday, December 29, bought 300,000 MT of wheat from Romania (60,000 MT), France (60,000 MT) and Ukraine (180,000 MT) for February 15-March 3 shipment:

  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Nibulon at 359.60 $/mt c&f (335.00 fob+24.60 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Olam at 361.25 $/mt c&f (337.25 fob+24.00 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Inerco at 361.25 $/mt c&f (337.25 fob+24.00 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat from CHS at 361.25 $/mt c&f (338.25 fob+23.00 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of French wheat from Viterra at 363.00 $/mt c&f (330.50 fob+32.50 freight).

GASC has bought so far a total 3,825,000 MT of wheat (1,190,000 MT from Russia, 1,620,000 MT from Romania, 955,000 MT from Ukraine and 60,000 MT from France) for supply in 2021/22 (July-June).

Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:

  • Viterra: 60,000 MT of French wheat at 331.86 $/mt fob
  • Nibulon: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 335.00 $/mt fob
  • Soufflet: 60,000 MT of French wheat at 336.92 $/mt fob
  • Olam: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 337.25 $/mt fob
  • Inerco: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 338.00 $/mt fob
  • LDC: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 340.89 $/mt fob
  • CHS: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 340.95 $/mt fob
  • Cargill: 60,000 MT of French wheat at 344.50 $/mt fob
  • Posco: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 346.50 $/mt fob
  • Ameropa: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 346.97 $/mt fob
  • GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 347.00 $/mt fob
  • ADM: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 347.50 $/mt fob
  • Grainexport: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 352.00 $/mt fob
  • AST Agro: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 355.00 $/mt fob
