The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Wednesday, October 27, bought 360,000 MT of wheat from Russia (180,000 MT), Ukraine (120,000 MT) and from Romania (60,000 MT) for December 1-10 shipment

  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from GTCS at 356.50 $/mt c&f (327.00 fob+29.50 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat from Viterra at 359.86 $/mt c&f (328.36 fob+31.50 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Nibulon at 360.45 $/mt c&f (327.50 fob+32.95 freight);
  • 120,000 MT of Russian wheat from Solaris at 361.00 $/mt c&f (328.36 fob+32.64 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Olam at 361.90 $/mt c&f (328.70 fob+33.20 freight).

GASC has bought so far a total 2,685,000 MT of wheat (770,000 MT from Russia, 1260,000 MT from Romania, and 655,000 MT from Ukraine) for supply in 2021/22 (July-June).


Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:

  • GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 327.00 $/mt fob
  • Nibulon: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 327.50 $/mt fob
  • Vittera: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 328.36 $/mt fob
  • Cofco: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 329.79 $/mt fob
  • Solaris:
    • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 330.36 $/mt fob
    • 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 331.36 $/mt fob
  • Olam: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 330.75 $/mt fob
  • ADM: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 332.50 $/mt fob
  • LDC: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 335.25 $/mt fob
  • AST Agro: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 337.00 $/mt fob
  • Grain export: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 337.50 $/mt fob
  • Cargill: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 341.99 $/mt fob
