The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Thursday, September 3, bought 55,000 MT of Russian wheat from Cargill at 240.50 $/mt c&f (225 fob+15.5 freight) for November 5-15 shipment.

GASC has bought so far a total 2,939,000 MT of wheat (2,349,000 MT from Russia, 530,000 MT from Ukraine and 60,000 MT from Romania) for supply in 2020/21 (July-June).

Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:
  • Cargill: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 225.00 $/mt fob
  • GTCS: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 227.00 $/mt fob
  • LDC: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 227.84 $/mt fob
  • Posco: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 228.30 $/mt fob
  • RIF: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 230.00 $/mt fob
  • Grain Export: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 230.00 $/mt fob
  • Nibulon: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 230.50 $/mt fob
  • Solaris: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 231.00 $/mt fob
  • Glencore: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 231.10 $/mt fob
  • Olam: 55,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 232.75 $/mt fob
  • Agro AST: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 235.00 $/mt fob
