Egypt's GASC buys 240,000 T French, Russian wheat April 16, 2020
The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Thursday, April 16, bought 240,000 MT of wheat from France (180,000 MT) and Russia (60,000 mt) for May 21-June 5 shipment:
- 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Agro AST at 251.75 $/mt c&f (242.45 fob+9.30 freight);
- 120,000 MT of French wheat from Glencore at 251.80 $/mt c&f (239.8 fob+12.00 freight);
- 60,000 MT of French wheat from Hakan at 251.80 $/mt c&f (239.8 fob+12.00 freight).
So GASC has bought so far a total 6,335,000 MT of wheat (3.29 MMT from Russia, 1.14 MMT from Romania, 1.005 MMT from Ukraine, and 900,000 MT from France) for supply in 2019/20 (July-June)
