- Mar 19 - Japan seeks 90,311 MT of food wheat for Apr-May shipments:

  • 18,785 MT of western white US wheat;
  • 26,075 MT of hard red winter US wheat;
  • 12,970 MT of dark northern spring US wheat;
  • 32,481 MT of Canadian western red spring wheat

- Mar 18 - South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased 70,000 MT of feed wheat from Cofco at 206.99 $/mt c&f for September 20 arrival

- Mar 18 - Algeria's OAIC bought around 400,000 MT of optional-origin durum wheat at around 333-335 $/mt c&f for April shipment

- Mar 17 - Tunisia's state grains agency bought 67,000 MT of optional-origin durum wheat for April 1-May 5 shipment and 25,000 MT of soft wheat for April 1-10 shipment:

  • 25,000 MT of soft milling wheat from Dreyfus at 220.94 $/mt c&f;
  • 25,000 MT of durum wheat from Richardson at 326 $/mt c&f;
  • 17,000 MT of durum wheat from Richardson at 331 $/mt c&f;
  • 25,000 MT of durum wheat from Glencore at 340.16 $/mt c&f

- Egypt has sufficient strategic wheat reserves to last for 3.6 months

CORN

- Mar 19 - Algerian’s ONAB seeks 40,000 MT of Argentine corn for Apr 16-30 shipment

- Mar 18 - South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) bought 69,000 MT of South American corn from Glencore at 192.99 $/mt c&f for Aug arrival

- Mar 18 - South Korea's KOCOPIA bought 60,000 MT of optional-origin corn from Posco at 206.98 $/mt c&f for June 10 arrival

- Mar 18 - Jordan bought 120,000 MT of optional-origin feed barley from GTCS at 195 $/mt c&f for shipment Aug 16-Sept 15

- Mar 17 - Algeria’s OAIC bought at least 60,000 MT of feed barley at around 194-195 $/mt c&f for April shipment

- Mar 17 - South Korea's Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) bought 66,000 MT of optional-origin corn from Pan Ocean at 199.98 $/mt c&f + 1.00 $/mt surcharge for additional port unloading for July 15 arrival

- Mar 17 - South Korea's Nonghyup Feed Inc. (Nofi) bought 66,000 MT of optional-origin corn from Olam at 190.23 $/mt c&f plus a 1.25 $/mt surcharge for additional port unloading for August 15 arrival

- Mar 13 - South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) bought 132,000 MT of optional-origin corn in two consignments: 67,000 MT at 203.4 $/mt c&f from CJ International for July 31 arrival; and 65,000 MT at 200.4 $/mt c&f for August 9 arrival

- Mar 13 - South Korea Feed Association (KFA) bought 52,000 MT of optional-origin corn from Dreyfus at 202.9 $/mt c&f including a surcharge for additional port unloading for August 5 arrival

- South Korea's Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) in a deal last week purchased 66,000 MT of optional-origin corn from Pan Ocean at 203.9 $/mt c&f for May 25 arrival           

SOYBEAN

- Mar 19 - Egypt's GASC seeks 10,000 MT optional-origin sunoil and 30,000 MT soyoil for arrival in May 20-June 10 and June 15-July 5

- Mar 18 - South Korea's Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) has purchased about 60,000 MT of optional-origin soymeal for Sept 5 arrival

- NOPA said its members crushed a bigger-than-expected 166.288 million bushels of soybeans during February (164.956 million bu – average expectations, 163.1-166.68 – range). NOPA processors crashed 176.94 mln bu in January and 154.498 mln bu a year ago. Soyoil stocks fell to 1.922 billion lbs as of Feb 29 from 2.013 a month earlier, above the last year’s level of 1.752 billion lbs, but behind of average expectations of 2.037 billion lbs. Soymeal exports fell in February to 762,745 tons from 931,061 tons in January and vs. 784,660 tons a year-ago
