- Dec 6 - The association of South Korean flour mills (KOFMIA) purchased about 35,000 MT of Australian milling wheat, largely Australian standard wheat at just over 260 $/mt FOB for April-May shipment

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended Dec 5 totaled 502,700 MT for 2019/20, topped market expectations (200-450 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 3% ahead of year-ago

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine exported about 27.363 MMT of grain between July 1-Dec 13, 2019 vs. 20.595 MMT for the same period of last year, including 14.036 MMT of wheat (9.797 MMT a year ago), 9.398 MMT of corn (7.326 MMT) and 3.602 MMT of barley (3.107 MMT)

- Strategie Grains forecasts EU 2020 soft wheat crop at 140.5 MMT, down 3.6% versus this year (145.8 MMT in 2019)

CORN

- Dec 13 - South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) in a private deal purchased 60,000 MT of Black Sea-origin corn from Agrocorp at 207.5 $/mt c&f including a surcharge for additional port unloading for Feb 1-29 shipment

- Dec 13 - Tunisia's state grains agency bought 50,000 MT (2x25 TMT) of optional-origin feed barley from ADM at 207.52 $/mt c&f for Jan 15-Feb 15 shipment

- Dec 12 - USDA announced export sales of 1,710,944 MT of US corn:

  • 1,600,200 MT for delivery to Mexico during 2019/20 (1,074,420 MT) and 2020/21 (525,780 MT);
  • 110,744 MT for delivery to unknown destinations during 2019/20

- Dec 12 - South Korea's Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) in a private deal purchased 65,000 MT of Black Sea-origin corn from CHS at 205.95 $/mt c&f for March 30 arrival

- Dec 11 - South Korea's KOCOPIA bought 55,000 MT of Black Sea-origin corn from Posco at 208.99 $/mt c&f including a surcharge for additional port unloading for Feb 25 arrival in South Korea, with Jan 1-20 shipment

- Weekly US corn export sales data for week ended Dec 5 totaled 875,900 MT, incl. 873,500 MT for 2019/20 topped expectations (400-800 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 44% behind of year-ago

- Ukrainian farmers have harvested 35.19 MMT of corn from 99.1% area with the average yield of 7.14 mt/ha as of Nov 29

- Weekly US soymeal export sales data for week ended Dec 5 of 257,700 MT, incl. 238,600 MT for 2019/20, within expectations (125-300 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 13% behind of year-ago

- India imported 1.128 MMT of veg oils (edible & non-edible) in November vs. 1.378 MMT in October, down 0.5% from 1.134 MMT a year ago

- India imported 541,421 MT of crude palm oil in November vs. 648,335 MT in October and vs. 568,376 MT a year ago

- India imported 122,409 MT of RBD palmolein in November vs. 118,487 MT in October and vs. 108,911 MT a year ago
