WHEAT

- Dec 4 - Algeria's OAIC bought about 500,000 MT of optional-origin milling wheat at around 227-228.5 $/mt c&f for February shipment

- Dec 4 - Thailand's Betagro Group bought 60,000 MT of feed wheat from Olam at 236.5 $/mt c&f for January shipment

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended Nov 28 totaled 228,100 MT for 2019/20, below market expectations (300-700 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 5% ahead of year-ago

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine exported about 25.56 MMT of grain between July 1-Dec 4, 2019 vs. 18.911 MMT for the same period of last year, including 13.594 MMT of wheat (9.426 MMT a year ago), 8.143 MMT of corn (6.107 MMT) and 3.501 MMT of barley (3.025 MMT)

- Iraq planes to purchase 750,000 MT of wheat from abroad in 2020

- FAO raised forecast of world wheat output in 2019 by 1.4 MMT to 766.4 MMT (731.6 MMT in 2018), reflecting bigger harvests in the EU and Ukraine. Forecast of stocks (ending in 2020) was upped to 278.2 MMT, up 3.3 MMT from previous forecast (270.1 MMT in 2018/19)

CORN

- Dec 11 - Japan seeks 120,000 MT of feed wheat and 200,000 MT of feed barley in a simultaneous buy and sell (SBS) auction

- Dec 5 - South Korea's KOCOPIA rejected all offers in tender to buy 55,000 MT of corn for March 10 arrival, citing on too high prices. The lowest offer was around 210.73 $/mt c&f including a surcharge for additional port unloading from Posco

- Weekly US corn export sales data for week ended Nov 28 totaled 548,500 MT, incl. 546,100 MT for 2019/20 within expectations (500-900 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 45% behind of year-ago

- FAO raised forecast of world maize production in 2019 by 4.2 MMT to 1,126.8 MMT (1,118.3 MMT in 2018/19), on improved yields in China and in Ukraine. Forecast of stocks (ending in 2020) upped by 8.5 MMT to 339.5 MMT (358.7 MMT in 2018/19)

SOYBEAN

- Dec 5 - USDA announced export sales of 245,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during 2019/20 (120 TMT) and 2020/21 (125 TMT)

- Dec 4 - USDA announced export sales of 20,000 MT of US soybean oil for delivery to Morocco during 2019/20

- Weekly US soybeans export sales data for week ended Nov 28 totaled 683,800 MT for 2019/20, below expectations (700-1300 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 8% ahead of year-ago

- Weekly US soymeal export sales data for week ended Nov 28 of 181,100 for 2019/20, within expectations (100-300 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 16% behind of year-ago

- FAO lowered forecast of world soybean production in 2019 by 600,000 MT to 342.5 MMT (361.7 MMT in 2018/19). Forecast of global inventories (2019/20 carry-out) cut by 1.6 MMT to 45.4 MMT (59.2 MMT in 2018/19)
