- Sept 24 - Jordan seeks 120,000 MT of optional-origin hard milling wheat for Dec-Jan shipment

- Sept 19 - Tunisia's state grains agency bought 42,000 MT of optional-origin soft wheat, 11.5% protein:

  • 25,000 MT from Casillo at 210.68 $/mt c&f for Oct 25-Nov 10 shipment;
  • 17,000 MT of from Posco at 212.50 $/mt c&f for Nov 1-15 shipment

- Sept 18 - Egypt's GASC bought 180,000 MT of wheat from Russia for October 21-31 delivery:

  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Solaris at 210.73 $/mt c&f (194.13 fob+16.6 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from GrainExport at 211.1 $/mt c&f (194.5 fob+16.6 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Solaris at 211.2 $/mt c&f (194.6 fob+16.6 freight).

GASC did not purchase any of the cargoes on offer for a second shipping period between Nov 1-10

- Sept 18 - Algeria's OAIC bought about 600,000 MT of optional-origin milling wheat at around 211-212 $/mt c&f (180 TMT from Glencore, 150 TMT from Soufflet, 150 TMT from Casilllo and 120 TMT from Bunge) for November shipment

- Sept 18 - Turkey's TMO bought 250,000 MT of red milling wheat, 13.5%, (25x10 TMT) for Oct 15-Nov 6 shipment:

  • 10,000 MT from Samanci Gida at 202 $/mt c&f Trabzon;
  • 10,000 MT from Cargill at 202.5 $/mt c&f Derince;
  • 30,000 MT from Grainexport at 203.78 $/mt c&f Derince;
  • 10,000 MT from Hakan Agro at 203.3 $/mt c&f Derince;

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended Sept 12 totaled 286,600 MT for 2019/20, below market expectations (300-600 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 20% ahead of year-ago

- Strategie Grains raised its forecast of EU 2019 soft wheat crop to 144.5 MMT from 142.9 MMT previously, up 14% versus last year (127.1 MMT in 2018). They upped forecast of 2019/20 EU soft wheat exports by 0.9 MMT to 25.7 MMT (21 MMT in 2018/19)

CORN

- Sept 19 - Tunisia's state grains agency bought 50,000 MT of optional-origin feed barley for Nov 20-Dec 15 shipment:

  • 25,000 MT from Glencore at 197.17 $/mt c&f;
  • 25,000 MT from Glencore at 197.57 $/mt c&f

- Zimbabwe agreed to buy 150,000 MT of South African corn

- Weekly US corn export sales data for week ended Sept 12 totaled 1,529,500 MT, incl. 1,464,600 MT for 2019/20 topped expectations (900-1300 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 48% behind of year-ago

- Strategie Grains raised its forecast of EU 2019 barley crop to 61 MMT from 60.5 MMT previously, 10% above the 2018/19 crop (55.7 MMT)

- Strategie Grains lifted its forecast of EU 2019 corn crop to 63.8 MMT from 63.2 MMT previously, a 3% increase on 2018/19 (61.7 MMT)

SOYBEAN

- Weekly US soybeans export sales data for week ended Sept 12 totaled 1,728,100 MT for 2019/20, topped expectations (700-1100 TMT). Export commitments for 2019/20 are running 37% behind of year-ago

- Weekly US soymeal export sales data for week ended Sept 12 of 435,800 MT, incl. 93,700 MT for 2018/19, within expectations (0-200 TMT), and 342,100 MT for 2019/20, above expectations (50-250 TMT). Export commitments for 2018/19 are running 3% behind of year-ago

- Surveyor SGS estimated Malaysia's Sept 1-15 palm oil exports at 700,935 MT down 6.8% from a month ago
