WHEAT

- July 30 - Jordan seeks 120,000 MT of optional-origin hard milling wheat for Oct-Nov shipment

- July 24 - Importers in the Philippines bought about 275,000 MT of feed wheat, likely Australian, from CBH in five 55,000 MT consignments for October-December shipment at 242, 245, 241, 238 and 237 $/mt c&f

- July 24 - Tunisia's state grains agency bought 92,000 MT of optional-origin soft wheat, 11.5% protein:

  • 25,000 MT from LDC at 215.52 $/mt c&f for Sept 1-10 shipment;
  • 25,000 MT from LDC at 216.02 $/mt c&f for Sept 5-15 shipment;
  • 17,000 MT from Cargill at 217.98 $/mt c&f for Sept 5-15 shipment;
  • 25,000 MT of from Soufflet at 214.43 $/mt c&f for Sept 15-25 shipment

- July 24 - Japan bought 10,560 MT of feed wheat for Dec 25 arrival via SBS-tender. New SBS tender for 120,000 MT of feed wheat and 200,000 MT of feed barley will be held on July 31

- July 23 - Egypt's GASC bought 300,000 MT of wheat from Ukraine (120 TMT), Romania (120 TMT) and Russia (60 TMT) for August 25-September 5 shipment:

  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Hakan at 217.1 $/mt c&f (198.8 fob+18.3 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from LDC at 219.9 $/mt c&f (201.6 fob+18.3 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Solaris at 219.9 $/mt c&f (202.5 fob+17.4 freight);
  • 120,000 MT of Romanian wheat from Ameropa at 219.9 $/mt c&f (203.6 fob+16.3 freight)

- Egypt has strategic reserves of wheat sufficient for 4.7 months

- July 23 - Jordan bought 60,000 MT of optional-origin hard milling wheat from Ameropa at 229.5 $/mt c&f for the first half of October

- SovEcon cut Russia's 2019 total grain production forecast to 117.2 MMT from 121.9 MMT previously, and wheat crop forecast by 2.9 MMT to 73.7 MMT

- Russian farmers as of July 23 have harvested 36.7 MMT of wheat from 9.9 million ha with the average yield of 3.72 mt/ha (3.83 mt/ha a year ago)

- Ukrainian farmers have threshed 18.9 MMT of wheat from 74% area with the average yield of 3.85 mt/ha as of July 24

CORN

- July 23 - Argentina registered 291,000 MT of corn for export

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine exported about 2.435 MMT of grain between July 1-24, 2019 vs. 1.298 MMT for the same period of last year, including 526,000 MT of wheat (367,000 MT a year ago), 1.407 MMT of corn (542,000 MT) and 499,000 MT of barley (389,000 MT)

- Ukrainian farmers have harvested 6.5 MMT of barley from 79% area with the average yield of 3.28 mt/ha as of July 24; and 553,000 MT of peas from 86% area with yield of 2.27 mt/ha

- Russian farmers as of July 23 have harvested 4.5 MMT of barley from 1.3 million ha with the average yield of 3.57 mt/ha (3.13 mt/ha a year ago)

SOYBEAN

- July 24 - USDA announced cancellations of export sales of 100,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during 2018/19

- Ukrainian farmers harvested 2.8 MMT of winter rapeseed from 89% area as of July 24, yields totalled 2.44 mt/ha

- Ukrainian June sunflower oil production was reported at 421 TMT, down 18.6% from prior month but up 19.4% from last year. Jan-June 2019 sunoil production totalled 2.929 MMT, up 13.9% from the same period in 2018

- Egypt has sufficient vegetable oils reserves to cover its needs for 3.3 months
