The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Tuesday, July 23, bought 300,000 MT of wheat from Ukraine (120 TMT), Romania (120 TMT) and Russia (60 TMT) for August 25-September 5 delivery:

  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Hakan at 217.1 $/mt c&f (198.8 fob+18.3 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from LDC at 219.9 $/mt c&f (201.6 fob+18.3 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Solaris at 219.9 $/mt c&f (202.5 fob+17.4 freight);
  • 120,000 MT of Romanian wheat from Ameropa at 219.9 $/mt c&f (203.6 fob+16.3 freight);

So GASC has bought so far a total 1,070,000 MT of wheat (600,000 MT from Romania, 290,000 MT from Russia and 180,000 MT from Ukraine) for supply in 2019/20 (July-June).

Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:

  • Hakan: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 198.80 $/mt fob
  • Solaris: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 202.72 $/mt fob
  • LDC: 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat at 202.97 $/mt fob
  • ADM: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 203.25 $/mt fob
  • Ameropa: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 203.88 $/mt fob
  • GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 204 $/mt fob
  • Posco Intl:
    • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 204.8 $/mt fob
    • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 207.15 $/mt fob
  • Agro AST: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 204.99 $/mt fob
  • CHS: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 206.38 $/mt fob
  • Glencore: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 206.86 $/mt fob
