- June 28 - Saudi Arabia’s SAGO bought 730,000 MT of wheat (12.5% protein) of EU, North and South American (excl. Canadian) and Australian origin at an average price of 233.88 $/mt c&f in 12 consignments for Sept-Nov shipment to the ports of Jeddah (425 TMT), Dammam (250 TMT) and Jizan (55 TMT):

- US wheat export inspections for week, ending June 27, recorded 609,037 MT, topped expectations (300-500 TMT). Inspections for 2019/20 are running 27.9% ahead of year-ago

- EU this season in period of July 1-June 30, 2018/19 exported 20.262 MMT of soft wheat compared to 21.045 MMT a year ago

- Russia has extended its zero tariff policy on wheat exports until July 1, 2021

- IKAR lowered its 2019 Russian wheat crop outlook to 79.3 MMT from 80 MMT previously. It lowered its estimate for Russian wheat exports in 2019/20, which started on July 1, by 300,000 MT to 36.2 MMT

CORN

- US corn export inspections for week, ending June 27, reported 272,513 MT, below expectations (500-800 TMT). Inspections for 2018/19 are running 8.8% behind of year-ago

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine exported about 49.74 MMT of grain between July 1-June 30, 2018/19 vs. 39.38 MMT for the same period of last season, including 15.58 MMT of wheat (17.14 MMT a year ago), 29.82 MMT of corn (17.74 MMT) and 3.6 MMT of barley (4.29 MMT)

- EU in week ended June 21 awarded licenses to import 162,000 MT of Ukrainian barley under an annual duty-free quota.  The award meant that the EU had now awarded 42.6% (270,821 MT) out of a total volume of 635,000 MT available in 2019

- EU this season in period of July 1-June 30, 2018/19 imported 23.607 MMT of corn (maize) vs. 17.693 MMT a year ago

- EU this season in period of July 1-June 30, 2018/19 exported 2.914 MMT of corn vs. 1.577 MMT a year ago

- EU this season in period of July 1-June 30, 2018/19 exported 4.353 MMT of barley vs. 5.739 MMT a year ago

- US soybean export inspections for week, ending June 27, reported 719,299 MT, within trade expectations (450-750 TMT). Inspections for the 2018/19 marketing year are running 25.3% behind of year-ago

- US President Donald Trump said he and his Chinese Counterpart Xi Jinping agreed on Saturday that the United States would refrain from raising levies on Chinese imports for now while China would buy more US agricultural products

- Strategie Grains upped forecast of the EU's 2019/20 sunflower seed production from 9.44 to 9.58 MMT, up 0.7% from an estimated 9.51 MMT in 2018/19

- Strategie Grains lowered forecast of the EU's 2019/20 soybean production from 2.69 to 2.62 MMT, down 4.5% from 2018/19

- Surveyor AmSpec Agri Malaysia estimated Malaysia's June 1-30 palm oil exports at 1,357,614 MT down 19.6% from a month ago

- Surveyor SGS estimated Malaysia's June 1-30 palm oil exports at 1,371,636 MT down 18.7% from a month ago
