WHEAT

- March 22 - Taiwan Flour Millers' Association seeks 110,000 MT of US milling wheat in two consignments for May 10-24 and May 24-June 7 shipments

- March 19 - Jordan has made no purchase in an international tender for 120,000 MT of optional-origin hard milling wheat and re-tender on March 26

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine exported about 35.6 MMT of grain between July 1-March 20, 2018/19 vs. 29.5 MMT for the same period of last season, including 12.95 MMT of wheat and 18.7 MMT of corn

- Ukrainian grain stocks were at 20.829 MMT as of March 1, up 9.4% from a year earlier, incl. 5.397 MMT of wheat (6.255 MMT a year ago), 1.155 MMT of barley (1.184 MMT a year ago) and 13.638 MMT of corn (10.557 MMT a year ago). The data does not include grain stored at small farms

CORN

- March 20 - Jordan has made no purchase in an international tender for 120,000 MT of optional-origin feed barley and may re-tender on March 27

- March 20 - Japan received no offers for 120,000 MT of feed wheat and 200,000 MT of feed barley in a simultaneous buy and sell (SBS) auction

- Ukraine’s Ag Min estimated early spring grain planting 25% done as of March 19. Ukrainian farmers planted 580,000 ha of spring crops, thereof 419,000 ha of barley (27% of plan) and 118,000 ha of peas (34% of plan)

- Ukraine's corn sowing area may rise to 4.63 million hectares in 2019 from 4.58 million hectares in 2018

- Japan's use of corn in animal feed totalled 48.8% in January 2019, up 0.4% point from prior month and by 0.9% point above year-ago level (47.9% in Jan 2018). Its use of barley steady at 3.4% vs. 3.4% a year ago; wheat usage also steady at 1.7% (1.7% year-ago). Sorghum usage in feed rations fell by 0.1% point from prior month to 2.0%, also down vs. 2.1% in Jan 2018

SOYBEAN

- Safras & Mercado expects Brazil's 2019 soybean exports at 70 MMT versus 83.86 MMT in 2018

- Abiove lowered its forecast of 2018/19 soybean crop by 1 MMT to 116.9 MMT (123.08 MMT in 2017/18)

- Russian January-February sunflower oil production was reported at 841 TMT, down 0.8% from last year

- Ukrainian sunflower stocks were at 4.898 MMT as of March 1, up 12.6% from a year earlier (4.348 MMT). The data does not include grain stored at small farms

- Surveyor SGS estimated Malaysia's March 1-20 palm oil exports at 925,431 MT up 0.8% from a month ago

- Surveyor AmSpec Agri Malaysia estimated Malaysia's March 1-20 palm oil exports at 908,718 MT down 2.3% from a month ago

- Surveyor Intertek Testing Services estimated Malaysia's March 1-20 palm oil exports at 881,924 MT down 4.1% from a month ago
