-  Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended March 7 totaled 346,000 MT, incl. 263,000 MT for 2018/19, below expectation (400-600 TMT). Export commitments for 2018/19 are running 3% ahead of year-ago

- Russia’s Ag Min said Russia exported 35.3 MMT of grain between July 1-March 7, 2018/19, down 1.3% from 35.8 MMT a year ago           

- Russia had 2,277,500 MT of grain in its federal intervention fund as of March 7 vs. 2,322,600 MT a week ago and 3,966,200 MT a year ago

- Strategie Grains lowered its forecast of EU 2019 soft wheat crop to 146.1 MMT from 146.4 MMT previously, up 15% versus last year (127 MMT in 2018)

- Germany's association of farm cooperatives forecasts country’s 2019 wheat crop at 24.2 MMT, a 19.4% increase from last year

- Iraq's agriculture ministry raised its forecast of local wheat production in 2019 by 1 MMT to 4 MMT due to higher rainfall (2.17 MMT in 2018)

CORN

- March 13 - South Korea's KOCOPIA bought 60,000 MT of US corn at 208.88 $/mt c&f for May 20 arrival       

- Weekly US corn export sales data for week ended March 7 totaled 846,600 MT, incl. 372,000 MT for 2018/19, well below expectations (800-1200 TMT). Export commitments for 2018/19 are running 6% behind of year-ago

- Rosario grain exchange upped its forecast of Argentine 2018/19 corn crop to 47.3 MMT from 46.5 MMT previously

- Strategie Grains upped its forecast of EU 2019 corn crop to 63 MMT from 62.5 MMT previously, up 3% versus last year (61.2 MMT in 2018)

- Strategie Grains lowered its forecast of EU 2019 barley crop to 61.8 MMT from 62 MMT previously, up 11% versus last year (55.7 MMT in 2018)

- Germany's association of farm cooperatives expect country’s 2019 corn crop at 4.25 MMT, a 27.2% rise from last year

- Germany's association of farm cooperatives expect increasing of country’s winter barley crop by 33.9% to 9.87 MMT this year and 6.8% drop of spring barley crop to 2.05 MMT

SOYBEAN

- Weekly US soybeans export sales data for week ended March 7 totaled 1,914,900 MT, incl. 1,911,900 MT for 2018/19, topped expectations (1.2-1.9 MMT). Export commitments for 2018/19 are running 16% behind of year-ago

- Weekly US soymeal export sales data for week ended March 7 of 226,100 MT, incl. 226,000 MT for 2018/19, within expectations (50-300 TMT). Export commitments for 2018/19 are running 8% ahead of year-ago

- Rosario grain exchange raised its forecast of Argentine 2018/19 soybean crop by 2 MMT to 54 MMT

- Germany's association of farm cooperatives forecast the country's 2019 winter rapeseed crop will fall 13% on year to 3.19 MMT
