The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Friday, February 8, bought 300,000 MT of wheat from the US (120 TMT), France (120 TMT) and Ukraine (60 TMT) for March 21-31 delivery:

  • 120,000 MT (2x60 TMT) of US soft red wheat from Cargill at 260.00 $/mt c&f (234.47 fob+25.53 freight)
  • 60,000 MT of French wheat from Glencore at 260.05 $/mt c&f (244.5 fob+15.55 freight)
  • 60,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Louis Dreyfus at 261.20 $/mt c&f (247.9 fob+13.3 freight)
  • 60,000 MT of French wheat from Glencore at 261.65 $/mt c&f (244.5 fob+17.15 freight)

So GASC has bought a total 5.77 MMT of wheat (3.79 MMT from Russia, 960 TMT from Romania, 420 TMT from Ukraine, 300 TMT from France and 300 TMT from the US) for supply in 2018/19 (July-June)
