- Jul 13 - Saudi Arabia’s SAGO bought 625,000 MT of hard wheat (12.5% protein) of EU, North and South American and Australian origin at an average price of 256.57 $/mt c&f in 10 consignments for Sept-Oct shipment to the ports of Jeddah (375 TMT), Dammam (195 TMT) and Jizan (55 TMT):

- US wheat export inspections for week, ending July 12, recorded 469,523 MT, topped trade expectations. Inspections for 2018/19 are running 43.6% behind of year-ago

- USDA said the US winter wheat harvest was 74% complete as of July 15, lagging slightly versus analysts' forecasts but in line with last-year pace and above the five-year average of 71%. USDA rated 80% of the US spring wheat crop in good-to-excellent condition as of July 8, unchanged from prior week, ahead of market expectation and significantly up compared to 34% a year-ago

- EU this season in period of July 1-15, 2018/19 exported 330,665 MT of soft wheat compared to 587,339 MT a year ago

- Agritel expects wheat production in Germany to drop to 21.49 MMT this year, down 12% from 2017 crop

- Ukrainian farmers have threshed 10.83 MMT of winter wheat from 53% of planned area with the average yield of 3.24 mt/ha as of July 16

CORN

- Jul 17 - Jordan has made no purchase in an international tender for 120,000 MT of optional-origin feed barley

- Jul 16 - Argentina registered 102,700 MT of corn for export

- Jul 13 - South Korea's Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) bought around 66,000 MT of optional-origin corn from CHS at 203.99 $/mt c&f + 1.25 $/mt surcharge for additional port unloading for Dec 25 arrival

- US corn export inspections for week, ending July 12, reported 1,217,233 MT, within market expectations (0.9-1.5 MMT). Inspections for 2017/18 are running 4.7% behind of year-ago

- USDA rated 72% of the country’s corn in good or excellent condition as of July 15, down 3% points from prior week and behind market expectations, but better than last year’s 64%

- EU this season in period of July 1-15, 2018/19 imported 413,512 MT of corn (maize) vs. 533,683 MT a year ago

- Ukrainian farmers have threshed 413,900 MT of peas from 62% of planned area with the average yield of 1.57 mt/ha as of July 16

SOYBEAN

- Jul 17 - China sold 54,706 MT of rapeseed oil from state reserves, or 86.9% of the offered amount, at average price of 6,077 RMB/mt (909 $/mt)

- Jul 16 - Argentina registered 286,724 MT of soymeal for export

- US soybean export inspections for week, ending July 12, reported 635,429 MT, within trade estimates. Inspections for the 2017/18 marketing year are running 4.4% behind of year-ago

- USDA rated 69% of the country’s soybeans in good or excellent condition as of July 15, down 2% points from prior week and slightly behind market forecasts but better than last year’s 61%

- NOPA said its members crushed a record-large of 159.228 million bushels of soybeans during June, below an average of trade expectations (159.637 million bu). NOPA processors crashed 163.572 mln bu in May and 138.074 mln bu a year ago. Soyoil stocks fell to 1.766 billion lbs as of June 30 from 1.856 a month earlier, below the average expectations of 1.807 billion lbs but above last year’s level of 1.703 billion lbs. Soymeal exports decrease to 857,275 tons from 904,941 tons in May and vs. 562,684 tons a year-ago
