The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Wednesday, February 21, bought 120,000 MT of wheat from Russia for March 22-April 1 delivery:

  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from AOS at 223.50 $/mt c&f (208.00 fob+15.50 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Friends at 223.50 $/mt c&f (208.00 fob+15.50 freight)

It was 20-th international tender since the start of the new fiscal year. GASC has bought 4.675 MMT (4.015 MMT from Russia, 420 TMT from Romania, 180 TMT from Ukraine and 60 TMT from France) of wheat on the international market since July 1, the start of the 2017/18

Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:

  • AOS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 208.08 $/mt fob
  • Friends: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 208.08 $/mt fob
  • Cofco: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 210.69 $/mt fob
  • Garant Logistic: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 211.95 $/mt fob
  • ADM: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 212.94 $/mt fob
  • GTCS:
    • 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 213 $/mt fob Tuapse
    • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 215 $/mt fob
    • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 218 $/mt fob
  • Ameropa: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 215.65 $/mt fob

The best offers on C&F basis was as follows (USD/MT, C&F):
