The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Tuesday, October 3, bought 180,000 MT of wheat from Russia for November 5-15 delivery:

  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Grant Logistics at 212.75 $/mt c&f (197.95 fob+14.80 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Friends at 213.00 $/mt c&f (200.00 fob+13.00 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Friends at 213.80 $/mt c&f (199.00 fob+14.80 freight)

It was 8-th international tender since the start of the new fiscal year. GASC has bought 2.25 MMT (1.77 MMT from Russia, 240 TMT from Romania, 180 TMT from Ukraine and 60 TMT from France) of wheat on the international market since July 1, the start of the 2017/18.

Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:

  • Grant Logistics: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 197.95 $/mt fob
  • Friends: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 199.19 per tonne and 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 200.20 and 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 201.01
  • Aston: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 202.97 $/mt fob
  • Daewoo: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 203.20 $/mt fob
  • COFCO: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 204.99 $/mt fob
  • GTCS: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 205.00 $/mt fob
  • Allegro: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 205.00 $/mt fob
  • Solaris: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 207.02 $/mt fob
  • ADM:
    • 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 207.49 $/mt fob
    • 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 209.55 $/mt fob
  • Casillo: 60,000 MT of French wheat at 209.90 $/mt fob
