- Sept 21 - China sold 62,656 MT of 2012 wheat from state reserves or 6.6% of the offered amount (949,654 MT) at auction at average price of 2,322 RMB/mt (352 $/mt)

- Sept 21 - Argentina registered 71,500 MT of wheat for export

- Sept 20 - Argentina registered 20,000 MT of wheat for export

- The new-crop Australian Standard White wheat was quoted this week at 245 $/mt c&f into Southeast Asia. That compares with US wheat of similar quality being offered at 235 $/mt c&f, while wheat from the Black Sea region is selling at 215 $/mt c&f

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended Sept 14 totalled 307,200 MT for 2017/18 (near the lower end of trade expectations of 300-500 TMT). Export commitments for 2017/18 are running 3% behind of year-ago

- Russia’s Ag Min said Russia exported about 10.496 MMT of grain between July 1-Sept 20, 2017/18, up by 34% from 7.83 MMT a year ago, including:

  • wheat – 8.029 MMT (6.588 MMT in 2016/17);
  • barley – 1.769 MMT (1.075 MMT);
  • corn – 635 TMT (136 TMT);
  • others – 63 TMT (33 TMT)

- Russia has 3,977,800 MT of grain in its federal intervention fund as of Sept 22 vs. 3,248,700 MT a year-ago

- South Korea's KOCOPIA seeks 55,000 MT of optional-origin corn for January arrival

- Sept 22 - China sold 1,747,330 MT of 2013, 2014 corn from state reserves, or 82.8% of the offered amount (2,100,490 MMT), at average price of 1,452 RMB/mt (220 $/mt)

- Sept 21 - China sold a total 804,412 MT of corn from state reserves via auctions:

  • 48,953 MT of 2013 corn, or almost 100% of the offered amount (48,970 MT), at average price of 1,335 RMB/mt (203 $/mt);
  • 755,459 MT of 2014 corn, or 83.6% of the offered amount (903,801 MT) at average price of 1,468 RMB/mt (223 $/mt)
