WHEAT

- Sept 6 - China sold 6,255 MT of wheat from state reserves or 0.25% of the of the offered amount (2,501,533 MT) at auction; 3,383 MT of mixed wheat at average price of 2,484 RMB/mt (372 $/mt) and 2,872 MT of white wheat at price of 2,500 RMB/mt

- Japan's Ministry of Agriculture skipped buying food-quality wheat via a regular tender this week

- IKAR raised its forecast of Russia's 2016 wheat crop by 2 MMT to 72 MMT. Total grain production estimate was upped by 2 MMT to 118 MMT

- Russian farmers harvested 66.27 MMT of wheat from 77.1% of the planned area as of Sept 5, up from 49.67 MMT a year ago. Yields totalled 3.1 mt/ha up from 2.96 mt/ha a year ago

- Russian farmers have planted 4.36 million hectares (25.2% of the planned area) of winter crops as of September 5 down vs. 3.51 mln ha a year ago

- Kazakh farmers harvested 10.4 MMT of all grains as of Sept 6, up from 3.98 MMT a year ago. Yields totalled 1.49 mt/ha up from 1.19 mt/ha a year ago

- Conab trimmed its Brazil's 2015/16 wheat crop estimate from 6.2 to 6.16 MMT (5.53 MMT in 2014/15)

CORN

- Sept 6 - China failed to sell corn from state reserves; at the auction was offered total of 1,211,061 MT corn

- Sept 5 - Argentina grants export licenses for 44,290 MT of corn

- Conab cut its Brazil's 2015/16 corn crop estimate to 66.98 MMT from its August projection of 68.48 MMT with second crop lowered by 1.47 MMT to 41.13 MMT (84.67 MMT, incl. 54.59 MMT in 2014/15). Conab expects Brazil to export 20.0 MMT of corn (20 MMT – previous forecast and 30.17 MMT in 2014/15). Ending stocks are estimated at 5.49 MMT (5.8 MMT – previous forecast), sharply down from 10.4 MMT in 2014/15

- Russian farmers harvested 17.42 MMT of barley from 87.1% of the planned area as of Sept 5, up from 14.53 MMT a year ago. Yields totalled 2.39 mt/ha up from 2.36 mt/ha a year ago

- Russian farmers harvested 273,400 MT of maize from 1.9% of the planned area as of Sept 5, down from 520,800 MT a year ago. Yields totalled 5.02 mt/ha up from 4.87 mt/ha a year ago

SOYBEAN

- Sept 5 - Argentina grants export licenses for 60,000 MT of soybeans; 41,832 MT of soybean oil and 30,180 MT of soymeal

- Conab left its Brazil's 2015/16 soybean production estimate almost unchanged at 95.43 MMT this month (96.23 MMT in 2014/15). Conab expects Brazil to export 54.1 MMT of soybeans (54.1 MMT – previous forecast and 54.32 MMT in 2014/15). Ending stocks are estimated at 460,300 MT, halved from 925,700 MT in 2014/15

- Russian farmers harvested 332,400 MT of sunseed from 2.2% of the planned area as of Sept 5, down from 433,100 MT a year ago. Yields totalled 2.05 mt/ha down from 2.12 mt/ha a year ago

- Russian farmers harvested 134,500 MT of soybean from 3.5% of the planned area as of Sept 5, down from 232,100 MT a year ago. Yields totalled 1.77 mt/ha up from 1.7 mt/ha a year ago

- Russian farmers harvested 509,600 MT of rapeseed from 38.1% of the planned area as of Sept 5, up from 494,400 MT a year ago. Yields totalled 1.35 mt/ha down from 1.73 mt/ha a year ago
