WHEAT

- Iranian buyers recently purchased around 350,000 MT of EU and Black Sea wheat for Oct-Nov shipment

- Jul 20 - South Korea (DongAOne Co Ltd and Korea Flour Mills, Samyang Corp and Daesun Flour Mills) bought 23,000 MT of Australian wheat at 215-216 $/mt c&f for Dec-Jan shipment

- Jul 12 - Morocco's ONICL bought 133,000 MT of soft wheat in the local market for subsidized flour production

- FranceAgriMer said 42% of soft wheat crops were in good and excellent condition as of July 18, down 7% points from last week and below the year-earlier score of 76%; durum rating at 50% in good to excellent vs. 53% last week and vs. 78% a year ago. French farmers harvested 62% of the durum as of July 18 vs. 40% a week ago and 95% a year ago. They also harvested 17% of the soft wheat vs. 7% a week ago and 53% a year ago

- Argentina's Ag Min trimmed 2016/17 wheat planting area estimate to 5.25 million hectares, down from 5.34 million before (4.37 mln ha in 2015/16)

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange left Argentina's 2016/17 wheat acreage estimate at 4.4 mln ha unchanged from last week (3.6 mln ha in 2015/16). Exchange estimates 82.6% of the crop has been planted as of July 21 vs. 93.8% this time last year

CORN

- Jul 22 - India's state-run trader PEC has received only one bid for a tender floated to import 120,000 MT of non-GMO corn. The sole bidder (Promising) offered only 25,000 MT of corn at 252.3 $/mt c&f

- Jul 21 - Argentina grants export licenses for 51,111 MT of corn

- Argentina's Ag Min increased its forecast for 2015/16 corn production to 39.8 MMT from 37.9 MMT a month prior and vs. 33.8 MMT in 2014/15, incl. corn for fodder

- Argentina's Ag Min trimmed its 2015/16 sorghum harvest estimate to 3.14 MMT from 3.19 MMT previously, still above last year's 3.1 MMT

- Argentina's Ag Min lowered its barley acreage forecast for the 2016/17 to 1.13 mln ha from 1.24 mln ha in June, down 23.1% from 1.47 mln ha in 2015/16

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange left its 2015/16 Argentine corn crop estimate unchanged from prior week at 28 MMT (28.2 MMT in 2014/15). Harvesting of Argentine corn crop was 52.8% completed as of July 21, behind of last year's pace of 73.4%

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange estimates Argentina's 2016/17 barley acreage at 1.025 mln ha unchanged from last week (1.2 mln ha in 2015/16). Exchange estimates 54.2% of the crop has been planted as of July 21 vs. 84% this time last year

- FranceAgriMer said 42% of France's winter barley crops were in good to excellent condition as of July 18, down 2% points on the prior week and below the year-ago score of 86%. Spring barley rating was at 60% in good to excellent vs. 62% a week ago and vs. 64% a year ago. Harvesting of winter barley was under way, with 95% of the crop cut by July 18 (77% a week ago), below the 98% harvest progress a year ago. French farmers also harvested 7% of spring barley by July 18 (3% a week ago), well below the 38% harvest progress a year ago

- FranceAgriMer estimated France's corn condition as 69% in good to excellent, unchanged from the prior week and above the year-ago score of 62%

SOYBEAN

- Jul 22 - China sold 332,039 MT of soybean from state reserves, or 57% of the offered amount (579,300 MT) at an average price of 3,262 RMB/mt (489 $/mt)

- Jul 21 - Argentina grants export licenses for 6,300 MT of sunflower oil and 5,575 MT of soyoil

- Argentina's Ag Min raised its 2015/16 soy harvest estimate to 58.8 MMT from a prior projection of 58 MMT and vs. 61.4 MMT in 2014/15

- Buenos Aires Grains Exchange maintains its forecast for 2015/16 Argentine soy crop at 56 MMT (60.8 MMT in 2014/15). Harvesting of Argentine soybean crop was 98.2% completed as of July 21, below last year's pace of 100%
