WHEAT

- Jun 28 - Jordan bought 100,000 MT of hard milling wheat from Sarels at 204.4 $/mt c&f for Dec-Jan shipment

- Indonesia is controlling wheat imports to encourage feed mills to use domestic corn supply. Indonesia has not banned feed-grade wheat imports, but has introduced regulating and controlling imports to protect farmers and domestic production. Indonesia has imported 1.5 MMT of feed wheat since January after the country restricted corn imports

- Iran has bought 5.22 MMT of wheat from local farmers so far in the current Iranian year (March 2016/17) in state-sponsored purchases, an 18%-increase from the same period last year. Country's wheat crop is expected to rise to more than 13 MMT this year. Last Iranian year (March 2015/16), close to 11.5 MMT of wheat were produced across the country, 8.08 MMT of which were purchased by the Government Trading Organization of Iran

- Agrochart upped its estimate for 2016 Ukrainian wheat crop by 2.5 MMT to 25.2 MMT, due to expectation of a record high yields, but still lower than 26.5 MMT in 2015
