The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Wednesday, December 3, bought 120 KMT of Romanian and 55 KMT of Ukrainian wheat for shipment January 1-10:

  • 60 KMT of Romanian wheat from Ameropa at 270.17 $/t c&f (260.17 $/t fob plus $10 freight)
  • 60 KMT of Romanian wheat from Bunge at 270.17 $/t c&f (260.17 $/t fob plus $10 freight)
  • 55 KMT of Ukrainian wheat from Venus at 273.4 $/t c&f (257.50 $/t fob plus $15.9 freight)

GASC has bought 2.425 MMT (840 KMT from France, 780 KMT from Romania, 585 KMT from Russia, 55 KMT from USA and 165 KMT from Ukraine) of wheat on the international market since July 1, the start of the 2014/15.

Egypt purchased 5.46 MMT of wheat from abroad in the 2013/14 fiscal year in addition to 3.7 MMT of local wheat.
