- German agriculture ministry estimated 2014/15 German winter barley crop, used for animal feed,  at 9.52 MMT, up 13.5% from a year ago; spring barley crop, used for malt and beer, at 2.09 MMT, up 7.9% from a year ago

SOY

- Iran SLAL seeks 3 cargoes of soymeal for Sept-Oct shipment. The tender deadline is Sep 2

- Aug 29 - USDA announced 123 KMT of US beans sold to unknown for 2014/15 

- Céleres consulting maintained its estimate for Brazil's soybean crop in 2014/15 at 91.3 MMT unchanged from the first survey released in August

- Brazil exports 4.12 MMT soybeans in August vs. 6.04 MMT in July and 5.38 MMT year ago

- Brazil exports 1.64 MMT soy meal in August vs. 1.25 MMT in July and 1.25 MMT year ago
