WHEAT

- Russian Ag Min estimated spring wheat planting 102.7% (or 13.56 mln ha) done as of June 7 vs. 13.098 mln ha a year ago

- Kazakh farmers planted 14.482 mln ha (or 100.5% of planed) of spring cereals crops as of June 8 vs. 11.671 mln ha a year ago

- France exported 1.5 MMT of soft wheat outside the EU in April, the highest monthly volume since the start of the 2015/16 season (incl. 676 TMT to Morocco, 329 TMT to Algeria, 189 TMT to Egypt and 58 TMT to Yemen), with Jul-Apr 2015/16 France's soft wheat shipments outside the EU at 9.7 MMT, up 2% on the year-earlier period. Total French soft wheat exports, including shipments within the EU, so far this season were down 1% at 16.0 MMT

- Algeria's grain imports reached 4.39 MMT in the first four months of 2016, down 9.5% from a year earlier, despite higher soft wheat purchases. Soft wheat imports rose to 2.17 MMT from 2.12 MMT, while durum wheat purchases were down at 665,386 MT from 681,159 MT

- Jun 7- China auctioned just 629 MT of rice from state reserves or 0.12% of the total volume up for auction, at price of 2,710 RMB/mt (412.60$/mt)

- Philippines has no urgent need to import rice for now. The country has enough local rice supply for about 103 days

CORN

- Ukraine's Ag Min estimated corn planting 98% (or 4.407 mln ha) done as of June 7 compare to 4.277 mln ha a year ago

- Russian Ag Min estimated spring barley planting 95.6% (or 7.748 mln ha) done as of June 7 vs. 7.99 mln ha a year ago

- Russian farmers planted 2.742 mln ha of maize or 91.7% of planned area as of June 7 vs. 2.679 mln ha a year ago

- France exported 306,000 MT of barley outside the EU in April (204 TMT to Morocco). A further 309,000 MT were exported within the EU in April, bringing total French barley exports in the first ten months of the season to 6.7 MMT, up 27% on the same period last season

- Algeria's Jan-Apr corn imports fell to 1.23 MMT from 1.67 MMT in the first four months of 2015

- Algeria's Jan-Apr barley imports dropped to 324,520 MT from 370,581 MT during the same period of 2015

SOYBEAN

- Jun 7 - Argentina grants export licenses for 20,000 MT of soybean and 16,860 MT of soymeal

- China imported 7.66 MMT of soybeans in May, up 8.3% compared to the previous month and up 25% from year-ago level. For the first five months of the year, imports have climbed 14.5% from a year ago to 31 MMT

- China's imports of all vegetable oils in May were 280,000 MT compare to 400,000 MT in April. For the first five months of the year, imports have climbed 3.9% from a year ago to 2.13 MMT

- Brazil may increase spending on new transport infrastructure in 2016 to 5 billion reais ($1.45 billion) from about 1 billion reais

- Ukrainian farmers have sown 5.411 mln ha of sunflower or 103% of planned area as of June 7 vs. 4.71 mln ha a year ago
