WHEAT

- Jun 2 - Argentina grants export licenses for 38,000 MT of milling wheat

- EU in week ended May 27 awarded licenses to import 3,449 MT of Ukrainian wheat under an annual duty-free quota. The award meant that the EU had now awarded all of 950,000 MT or 100% of a total volume available in 2016

- EU in week ended May 31 granted licenses to export 633 TMT of soft wheat, bringing the total this season to 28.86 MMT vs. 29.314 MMT a year ago

- FranceAgriMer said 81% of soft wheat crops were in good and excellent condition as of May 30, down 2% points from last week and below the year-earlier score of 89%; durum rating at 70% in good to excellent vs. 78% last week and vs. 83% a year ago

- Kazakh Ag Min said Kazakhstan exported 7.79 MMT of grain between July 1-May 31, 2015/16 vs. 5.856 MMT a year ago, incl. flour – 2.72 MMT in wheat equivalent vs. 2.197 MT in the same period of 2014/15

- Kazakh farmers planted 14.242 mln ha (98.8% of planned) of spring cereals crops as of June 3 vs. 9.081 mln ha a year ago

- Russian Ag Min estimated spring wheat planting 101.5% (or 13.393 mln ha) done as of June 2 vs. 11.843 mln ha a year ago

- National Bank of Australia expects 2016/17 Australian wheat crop to be around 26.1 MMT (USDA estimates 25 MMT). Crop could rise to nearly 27 MMT if La Nina weather develops

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange kept Argentina's 2016/17 wheat acreage unchanged from last week at 4.5 mln ha (3.6 mln ha in 2015/16). Exchange estimates 7.6% of the crop has been planted as of June 2 vs. 9.8% this time last year

- Jun 15 - Thailand will auction 2.24 MMT of rice from government stocks

CORN

- EU in week ended May 31 awarded 153 TMT of corn (maize) import certificates, taking the volume so far this season to 12.525 MMT vs. 8.386 MMT a year ago

- EU in week ended May 31 granted licenses to export 139 TMT of corn, bringing the total this season to 1.637 MMT vs. 3.22 MMT a year ago

- EU in week ended May 31 granted licenses to export 15 TMT of barley, bringing the total this season to 9.136 MMT vs. 8.425MMT a year ago

- FranceAgriMer said 78% of France's winter barley crops were in good to excellent condition as of May 30, down 5% point on the prior week and below the year-ago score of 88%. Spring barley rating was at 93% in good to excellent vs. 93% a week ago and vs. 91% a year ago

- FranceAgriMer estimated France's corn planting 98% done as of May 30, still behind last year's pace of 100%. Corn crop condition was estimated as 79% in good to excellent, down 5% points on the prior week and below the year-ago score of 86%

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange maintains its 2015/16 Argentine corn crop estimate at 25 MMT (28.2 MMT in 2014/15). Harvesting of Argentine corn crop was 30.3% completed as of June 2, behind of last year's pace of 39.4%

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange maintains its 2015/16 Argentine sorghum crop estimate at 3.5 MMT, unchanged from 2014/15 crop. Harvesting of Argentine sorghum was 51.6% completed as of June 2, behind of last year's pace of 58.7%

- Mozambique's grain production fell 4.8% to 2.39 MMT last year from 2.51 MMT the previous year, due to drought

- Ukraine's Ag Min estimated corn planting 98% (or 4.395 mln ha) done as of June 2 compare to 4.26 mln ha a year ago

- Russian Ag Min estimated spring barley planting 94% (or 7.617 mln ha) done as of June 2 vs. 7.341 mln ha a year ago

- Russian farmers planted 2.669 mln ha of maize or 89.2% of planned area as of June 2 vs. 2.644 mln ha a year ago

- US Ethanol production for the week ended May 27 increased by 14,000 barrels to 960,000 barrels per day, down 1.2% from last year's level of 972,000 bpd. Stocks fell by 44,000 barrels from the week prior to 20.769 million barrels, up 3.5% vs. 20.068 million barrels a year ago

SOYBEAN

- Jun 2 - Argentina grants export licenses for 33,500 MT of soybean oil

- Rains this week in Argentina's top agricultural province, which was previously unaffected by recent wet weather, may further damage the 2015/16 soybean harvest. Meanwhile Buenos Aires Grains Exchange maintains its forecast for 2015/16 Argentine soy crop at 56 MMT (60.8 MMT in 2014/15). Harvesting of Argentine soybean crop was 78.7% completed as of June 2, below last year's pace of 93.4%

- Abiove cut its estimate for Brazil's 2015/16 soybean crop to 97.9 MMT from 98.6 MMT estimated in May. Abiove also lowered its forecast for 2016 soybean exports by 0.7 MMT to 54.6 MMT

- Ukrainian farmers have sown 5.306 mln ha of sunflower or 101% of planned area as of June 2 vs. 4.605 mln ha a year ago

- Ukraine's Ag Min estimated soybean planting 90% (or 1.827 mln ha) done as of June 2 compare to 1.933 mln ha a year ago

- Russian farmers have sown 6.487 mln ha of sunflower or 93.3% of planned area as of June 2 vs. 6.518 mln ha a year ago

- Russian farmers planted 1.529 mln ha of soybeans or 69% of planned area as of June 2 compare to 1.614 mln ha a year ago
