WHEAT

- Mar 24 - Egypt's GASC bought 60,000 MT of French wheat from Soufflet at 189.2 $/mt c&f (179 $/mt fob+10.2 $/mt freight) for April 25-May 5 delivery

- Egypt has enough strategic wheat reserves to last until first week of July

- Ukraine's Ag Min reports that 97% (or 6.9 mln ha) of Ukraine's winter grain crop had sprouted as of March 25 vs. 96% (or 6.8 mln ha) a week ago and 99% (or 7.9 mln ha) a year ago. About 75% of emerged crops were in good to satisfactory condition, up 3% points from prior week, but down from 85% last year

- FranceAgriMer said 92% of soft wheat crops were in good and excellent condition as of Mar 21, unchanged from last week but above 90% on the comparable date last year; durum rating at 88% in good to excellent, unchanged from last week and vs. 85% a year ago

CORN

- Mar 24 - USDA announced export sales of 260,000 MT of US corn for delivery to Taiwan during 2015/16

- FranceAgriMer said 91% of France's winter barley crops were in good to excellent condition as of Mar 21, unchanged from prior week but above 90% a year ago

- FranceAgriMer estimated spring barley planting 90% done as of Mar 21, behind of last year's pace of 96%

- Ukrainian farmers have sown 961,000 ha of early spring grain or 38% of the initial area as of March 25 vs. 882,000 ha (or 36%) a year ago. Ukraine's Ag Min estimates spring barley planting 38% (or 743,000 ha) done

- Russian Ag Min estimated spring planting 1.6% (or 821,200 ha) done as of Mar 25 vs. 795,400 ha a year ago. Of the total Russian farmers planted 606,100 ha of spring grain or 2% of planned area

SOYBEAN

- Mar 25 - USDA announced export sales of 304,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during 2015/16 (214 TMT) and 2016/17 (90 TMT)

- Oil World says that Argentine 2016/17 soybean area may decline by 0.9-1.3 mln ha, contrasting with a prospective boost in plantings of grains and sunflowers

- Brazilian farmers have sold almost 70% of 2015/16 soybean crop

- Surveyor Intertek Testing Services estimated Malaysia's Mar 1-25 palm oil exports at 886,749 MT up 12.6% from a month ago

- Rabobank has raised its March price forecast for palm oil futures on the Bursa Malaysia to above 2,650 MYR/mt from an earlier forecast of around 2,500 MYR/mt, due to an expected loss of up to 10% in palm production
