WHEAT

- Feb 25 - Algeria's OAIC bought about 280,000-400,000 MT of durum wheat, mainly from Mexico and Canada. Mexican durum for May shipment was purchased at between 250-253 $/mt c&f. Some Canadian durum purchased at a higher price for shipment in late April

- US wheat export inspections for week, ending February 25, recorded 371,934 MT, within the market forecasts (275-400 TMT). Inspections for 2015/16 are running 13% behind year-ago

- Indian Farm Ministry maintains its estimate of wheat crop at 93.8 MMT

- Russia's Ag Min says interventions fund should be no less than 5-10 MMT of grain vs. current 2.974 MMT in its state stocks

CORN

- US corn export inspections for week, ending Feb 25, reported 737,602 MT, matched market expectations (650-800 TMT). Inspections for 2015/16 are running 20.6% behind year-ago

- AGPM says French grain maize area to fall 6% in 2016 due to unattractive prices

- Russian farmers started seeding of early spring grain crops due to favorable weather. Russia's Ag Min estimated spring planting 0.1% done as of Feb 29

SOYBEAN

- US soybean export inspections for week, ending Feb 25, reported 1,048,841 MT, just above the lower end of trade forecasts that ranged from 1.0 to 1.5 MMT. Inspections for the 2015/16 marketing year are running 8.2% behind year-ago

- Brazilian state of Goias said that it would not initiate export taxes on soybeans this year
