Egypt's state-buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) cancelled a tender on Tuesday, January 26, to buy 15,000 MT of soybean oil and 10,000 MT of sunflower oil for Feb 20-Mar 4 shipment, citing high prices.

It had received several offers for soyoil and sunflower oil from four suppliers earlier on Tuesday:

  • Nidera:
    • 12,000 MT of sunflower oil at 818.88 $/mt c&f
    • 30,000 MT of soybean oil at 750 $/mt c&f
  • Wehda (Union Co):
    • 10,000 MT of sunflower oil at 900 $/mt c&f
  • ADM:
    • 12,000 MT of sunflower oil at 815 $/mt c&f
  • Glencore:
    • 25,000 MT of sunflower oil at 831 $/mt c&f
    • 30,000 MT of soybean oil at 754.75 $/mt c&f or
    • 18,000 MT of soybean oil at 761.78 $/mt c&f or
    • 20,000 MT of soybean oil at 754.75 $/mt c&f combo.
    • 10,000 MT of sunflower oil at 829 $/mt c&f
