WHEAT

- Jan 14 - Japan seeks 140,729 MT of food wheat for Feb-Mar shipment:

  • 14,894 MT of western white US wheat

  • 49,570 MT of Canadian western red spring wheat
  • 30,130 MT of Australian standard white

- Jan 13 - Jordan seeks 100,000 MT of optional origin hard milling wheat for June shipment

- US wheat export inspections for week, ending January 7, recorded 393,688 MT, within the range of market forecasts (275-400 TMT). Inspections for 2015/16 are running 11% behind year-ago

- India reports wheat sowing is done on 28.2 mln ha down 6% from a year ago due to extreme heat

CORN

- Jan 11 - USDA announced export sales of 152,400 MT of US corn for delivery to unknown destinations during 2015/16

- US corn export inspections for week, ending Jan 7, reported 550,258 MT, topping analysts' estimates (350-500 TMT). Inspections for 2015/16 are running 20.5% behind year-ago

- Dr. Cordonnier said Argentina to increase corn acres 30-40% in 2016/17

SOYBEAN

- AgRural trimmed its Brazil's 2015/16 soybean crop estimate to 98.7 MMT, down 1 MMT from previous estimate

- Argentine Ag Min estimated country's November soybean crush at 2.96 MMT
