WHEAT

- EU in week ended December 1 granted licenses to export 1.041 MMT of soft wheat, the highest volume granted so far during the 2015/16, bringing the total this season to 9.764 MMT vs. 12.025 MMT a year ago

- FranceAgriMer estimated soft wheat planting 99% done as of Nov 30, matching last year's pace of 99%; while durum planting 97% done vs. 88% a year ago. About 98% of France's soft wheat crops were in good to excellent condition as of Nov 30, unchanged from prior week and up vs. 93% a year ago; durum rating at 97% in good to excellent vs. 90% a year ago

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended November 26 – 432,900 MT, incl. 392,200 MT for 2015/16, within trade estimates (250-500 TMT). Total current marketing-year US wheat export sales are 14% behind the same point last year

- CBH Group said it expected the Western Australia's output of all grains to reach 12.5 MMT, below its October estimate of 13 MMT. CBH Group estimated state's wheat production at 7.5 MMT, down from its previous estimate of 7.8 MMT, and this is 1.2 MMT, or nearly 14%, lower than ABARES's estimate of 8.7 MMT

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange maintains its 2015/16 Argentine wheat crop forecast at 9.5 MMT, a 19% decline from 2014/15 (11.75 MMT). Harvesting of Argentine wheat crop was 31% completed as of Dec 3, behind of last year's pace of 41.8%

- Chinese grains trader COFCO Corp had signed a framework contract to import 1 MMT of Thai rice. With plentiful harvests in recent years, China does not need to import rice but import deals have been signed to support Sino-Thai friendship and economic cooperation

CORN

- Weekly US corn export sales data for week ended Nov 26 of 499,400 MT for 2015/16 was below market estimates that ranged from 500 TMT to 1.1 MMT. Total current marketing-year US corn export sales are 25% behind the same point last year

- Informa Economics raised its Argentina's 2015/16 corn crop estimate to 21 MMT from previous forecast of 18.5 MMT

- Informa Economics trimmed its projection of Brazil's 2015/16 all-corn production to 81.3 MMT from 81.8 MMT previously

- China's Ag Min says a reduction in corn planted area is a major point in the country's grain structural adjustment, with focus on where corn productivity is low

- EU in week ended Dec 1 awarded 311 TMT of corn (maize) import certificates, taking the volume so far this season to 4.735 MMT vs. 2.917 MMT a year ago

- EU in week ended Dec 1 granted licenses to export 29 TMT of corn, bringing the total this season to 684 TMT vs. 1.123 MMT a year ago

- EU in week ended Dec 1 granted licenses to export 79 TMT of barley, bringing the total this season to 4.661 MMT vs. 3.919 MMT a year ago

SOYBEAN

- Dec 3 - USDA announced export sales of 132,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to China during 2015/16

- Dec 3 - Egypt's FIHC bought from ADM 10,000 MT of sunflower oil at 832 $/mt c&f and 25,000 MT of soyoil at 732 $/mt c&f for arrival March 1-20

- Weekly US soybean export sales data for week ended Nov 26 – 878,300 MT for 2015/16 fell at the low end of trade estimates ranging from 800 TMT to 1.2 MMT. Total current marketing-year US soybean export sales are 17% behind the same point last year

- Argentine leading grain group CIARA-CEC said Mauricio Macri's proposed tax cuts by 5% on soybean exports will also apply to shipments of soymeal and soyoil. Current export tax for soybeans is 35%, soybean meal and oil - 32%

- Informa Economics trimmed its Argentina's 2015/16 soybean crop estimate to 58.5 MMT from previous forecast of 59 MMT

- Informa Economics raised its projection of Brazil's 2015/16 soybean production to 101.4 MMT from 101 MMT last month

- Abiove maintains its forecasts of Brazil's 2015/16 soybean crop at 98.6 MMT and new crop exports at 53 MMT
