WHEAT

- Dec 8 - Bangladesh tenders to buy 50,000 MT of milling wheat (12.5% protein, minimum test weight of 76 kilos per hectoliter). The deadline for offers is Dec 8, with validity up to Dec 20, and the wheat is to be shipped within 40 days of the signing of the contract

- Political tension between Russia and Turkey has put a brake on new wheat deals between the two countries and created uncertainty about existing agreements

- EU in week ended November 24 granted licenses to export 553 TMT of soft wheat, bringing the total this season to 8.723 MMT vs. 11.507 MMT a year ago

- FranceAgriMer estimated soft wheat planting 99% done as of Nov 23, ahead of last year's pace of 97%; durum planting 96% done vs. 87% a year ago. About 98% of France's soft wheat crops were in good to excellent condition as of Nov 23, unchanged from prior week and up vs. 93% a year ago; durum rating at 97% in good to excellent, up from 95% a week ago and vs. 91% a year ago

- European Commission (EC) lowered its 2015 soft wheat crop estimate from 149.2 to 149.1 MMT this month, still exceeding a previous record of 148.7 MMT last year. EU's executive maintains its forecast of 2015/16 soft wheat exports at a three-year low of 27.9 MMT, a more than 16% decline on 33.3 MMT last season. EC expects soft wheat inventories in the region to climb 59% from a year earlier to 17.5 MMT by the end of June

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange maintains its 2015/16 Argentine wheat crop forecast at 9.5 MMT, a 19% decline from 2014/15 (11.75 MMT). Harvesting of Argentine wheat crop was 20% completed as of Nov 26, behind of last year's pace of 31%

CORN

- Nov 24 - Algeria's OAIC bought 75,000 MT of feed barley at around 189 $/mt c&f for Dec-Jan shipment

- Nov 19 - South Korea's Korea Feed Association (KFA) in Busan bought 58,000 MT of South American and US Gulf origin corn from Zen-Noh Grain Corp at 188 $/mt c&f with a 1.5 $/mt surcharge for additional port unloading for May arrive

- EU in week ended Nov 24 awarded 527 TMT of corn (maize) import certificates, taking the volume so far this season to 4.424 MMT vs. 2.763 MMT a year ago

- EU in week ended Nov 24 granted licenses to export 27 TMT of corn, bringing the total this season to 655 TMT vs. 1.074 MMT a year ago

- EU in week ended Nov 24 granted licenses to export 97 TMT of barley, bringing the total this season to 4.581 MMT vs. 3.644 TMT a year ago

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange estimated Argentine corn planting 39.1% done as of Nov 26 vs. 41.4% a year ago. The exchange forecasts country's corn planting area at 2.72 mln ha this year vs. 3.4 mln ha in 2014/15

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange forecasts 2015/16 Argentine barley crop at 3.65 MMT, a 28% growth from 2014/15 (2.85 MMT). Harvesting of Argentine barley crop was 2.4% completed as of Nov 26, behind of last year's pace of 4.2%

SOYBEAN

- EC raised slightly its 2015 EU rapeseed crop estimate to 21.3 MMT from a previous estimate of 21.2 MMT, still down sharply from a record 2014 crop of 24.3 MMT. Sunflower crop is forecasted at 7.11 MMT vs. 9.06 MMT in 2014 and soybean at 2.18 MMT vs. 1.85 MMT a year ago

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange estimated Argentine soybean planting 43.2% done as of Nov 26 vs. 44.8% a year ago. The exchange forecasts country's soybean planting area at 19.8 mln ha this year vs. 20 mln ha in 2014/15

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange estimated sunflower planting 90.2% done as of Nov 26, up 16.1% on the week, but down vs. 96.9% a year ago. The exchange forecasts country's sunflower planting area at 1.45 mln ha this year vs. 1.3 mln ha in 2014/15
