WHEAT

- Dec 1 - Jordan tenders again for 100,000 MT of wheat for February-March

- Nov 25 - Egypt's GASC bought 240,000 MT of wheat (120,000 MT of French, 60,000 MT of Russian and 60,000 MT of Romanian) for December 21-31 shipment:

  • 60,000 MT of French wheat from Soufflet at 205.74 $/mt c&f (195.54 $/mt fob+10.20 $/mt freight)
  • 60,000 MT of French wheat from Invivo at 205.74 $/mt c&f (195.54 $/mt fob+10.20 $/mt freight)
  • 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat from Ameropa at 206.15 $/mt c&f (200.15 $/mt fob+6.00 $/mt freight)
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Alegrow at 206.15 $/mt c&f (198.85 $/mt fob+7.30 $/mt freight)

- Egypt's strategic wheat reserves enough to last until April 23, 2016

- South Africa's Crop Estimates Committee (CEC) decreased its estimate of South Africa's 2015 wheat crop to 1.505 MMT from previous forecast of 1.542 MMT and vs. 1.75 MMT in 2014

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine exported 16.3 MMT of grain between July 1-Nov 23, 2015 (vs. 14.5 MMT for the same period last year), including:

  • wheat – 8.6 MMT (vs. 7.3 MMT a year ago)
  • barley – 3.7 MMT (vs. 3.3 MMT)
  • corn – 3.9 MMT (vs. 3.7 MMT)

- Russia has strengthened control over food and agriculture imports from Turkey, after the agriculture ministry's research showed that about 15% of agriculture imports from Turkey did not meet Russian regulations

- Philippines will buy an additional volume of rice but it could be much lower than initial estimate of 1.3 MMT

- Thailand expects to sell 200,000 MT of rice to Iran

CORN

- Dec 2 - Jordan tenders again for 100,000 MT of barley for April

- Nov 25 - Jordan cancelled a tender to buy 100,000 MT of barley

- China plans to cut local corn prices for a second year in bid to shrink massive stockpiles. Chinese government is preparing to slash state support prices by another 10% to 1,800 yuan ($282) per MT for 2016/17. That would follow previously announced cuts for the crop year that began in October

- US Ethanol production for the week ended Nov 20 rose by 33,000 barrels to a record high of 1,008,000 barrels per day, it is up 2.6% from last year's level (982,000 bpd). Stocks climbed by 378,000 barrels to 19.627 million barrels, up 15% vs. 17.072 million barrels a year ago

- US ethanol output tops 1 mln bpd as industry awaits EPA mandates. EPA due to publish final ethanol mandates on Monday, November 30, with the trade expecting a some increase from last spring's preliminary numbers

SOYBEAN

- Nov 25 - USDA announced export sales of 190,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during 2015/16

- EPA due to publish final biodiesel mandates on Monday, November 30, with the trade expecting a 100 mln pound increase from last spring's preliminary numbers

- France reported its first outbreak of the deadly H5N1 bird flu virus in eight years after detecting it in a backyard in a southwestern region
