WHEAT

- USDA said 96% of the US winter wheat is planted as of November 22, below last year's pace (99%) and the 5-year average pace of 100%. USDA estimated winter wheat condition at 53% good to excellent as of Nov 22, up from 52% on previous week and matching the market expectations (53%), but down vs. 58% a year ago

- US wheat export inspections for week, ending November 19, recorded 271,335 MT, within analysts' estimates (200-400 TMT). Inspections for 2015/16 are running 16.3% behind year-ago

- Ag Canada estimated Canada's 2015/16 wheat crop at 26.061 MMT unchanged from previous estimate

- Brazil may need to import about 6 MMT of wheat, due to insufficient domestic output and quality

- Nov 24 - Russia bought 99,630 MT of intervention grain (95,580 MT of wheat, 2,025 MT of barley and 2,025 MT of rye) via tender on the NTB (Moscow Exchange). Making the total bought since Aug 20 at 810,000 MT of Russian grain (779,490 MT of wheat, 12,825 MT of rye and 17,685 MT of barley)

- Russian farmers have harvested 108 MMT of grain (incl. 63.9 MMT of wheat, 18.3 MMT of barley and 12.4 MMT of corn) as of Nov 23, down from 110 MMT (incl. 62.2 MMT of wheat, 21.2 MMT of barley and 11 MMT of corn) a year ago. Yields were at 2.46 mt/ha, down from 2.51 mt/ha a year ago. While 95.2% (or 16.3 mln ha) of winter crops were planted as of Nov 23 vs. 16.8 mln ha year ago

- Russian export prices for wheat fell last week, tracking a decline in Chicago futures. IKAR said Black Sea prices for Russian wheat with 12.5% protein content were at 195 $/mt fob at the end of last week, down $3 from a week earlier. SovEcon said fob wheat prices in the Black Sea were flat at 198.5 $/mt and corn fob prices at 168-170 $/mt

- Ukrainian farmers have planted winter wheat on 5.6 mln ha (91% of plan) as of Nov 23 vs. 6.5 mln ha a year ago

- India's wheat planting has been delayed by at least a week due to high temperatures. Indian farmers have so far planted winter crops on 24.22 million hectares, down 12.6% from 27.69 mln ha in the previous year. Wheat acreage is lower by more than 26%

- Egypt will control the prices of 10 essential commodities, as the country tries to keep inflation in check amid a shortage of foreign currency. The list includes livestock and frozen meat, poultry, fish, oils, sugar, rice, beans, corn, soybean and wheat

CORN

- Nov 24 - Algeria's OAIC seeks 75,000 MT of feed barley for Dec-Jan shipment

- US corn export inspections for week, ending Nov 19, reported 494,689 MT, in line with range of trade expectations (350-550 TMT). Inspections for 2015/16 are running 23.1% behind year-ago

- Ukrainian farmers have harvested 21.2 MMT of corn from 3.8 mln ha (93%) with yields of 5.54 mt/ha as of Nov 23 vs. 25.8 MMT with yields of 5.89 mt/ha a year ago

SOYBEAN

- Dec 2 - Egypt's Food Industries Holding Co (FIHC) seeks 10,000 MT of sunflower oil for Feb-March, 25,000 MT of soybean oil for Feb-March, and 5,400 MT of palm oil for January arrival

- US soybean export inspections for week, ending Nov 19, reported 1,853,848 MT, just below the lower end of the range of market forecasts (1.9-2.3 MMT). Inspections for the 2015/16 marketing year are running 7.2% behind year-ago

- Ag Canada estimated Canada's 2015/16 canola crop at 14.3 MMT, unchanged from previous estimate and vs. 16.4 MMT in 2014/15

- Container workers at the Port of Rotterdam have voted to hold a series of 24-hour strikes in December and January in protest at possible job cuts

- Ukrainian farmers have harvested 11.1 MMT of sunflower seed from 5 mln ha (100%) with yields of 2.21 mt/ha as of Nov 23 vs. 9.9 MMT with yields of 1.96 mt/ha a year ago
