The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Friday, October 9, bought 120,000 MT of Russian and 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat for November 11-20 delivery:

  • 60 TMT of Russian wheat from Union Co. at 205.89 $/mt c&f (198 $/mt fob+7.89 $/mt freight from Union Co)
  • 60 TMT of Russian wheat from ADM at 208.24 $/mt c&f (199 $/mt fob+9.24 $/mt freight from National Navigation (NNC))
  • 60 TMT of Romanian wheat from ADM at 207.89 $/mt c&f (198.5 $/mt fob+9.39 $/mt freight from NNC)

It was the twelfth tender since the start of the new fiscal year. GASC has bought 1.875 MMT (1.23 MMT from Russia, 345 TMT from Ukraine, 240 TMT from Romania and 60 TMT from France) of wheat on the international market since July 1, the start of the 2015/16

Now Egypt's strategic wheat reserves are enough to last until the middle of March
