WHEAT

- Mauritius seeks 51,000 MT of optional origin wheat flour

- Egypt's GASC could raise protein content requirement for wheat from current 12 to 12.5%

- Saudi Arabia's General Silos and Flour Mills Organisation (GSFMO) said it would raise its wheat storage capacity to 4 MMT by 2020. By the end of 2014, there was enough storage capacity for 2.77 MMT of wheat, the equivalent of six months of strategic reserves

- Traders and analysts expect the USDA to peg US wheat stocks at highest since 2010

- China has set 2016 low-tariff rate import quotas for wheat at 9.636 MMT and rice at 5.32 MMT

- Sep 29 - Russia bought 4,995 MT of intervention grain (wheat) from Asian part of country via tender on the NTB (Moscow Exchange)

CORN

- Sep 30 - Japan bought 35,900 MT of feed grain (12,300 MT of barley and 23,600 MT of wheat) for February arrive via SBS-tender

- China has set 2016 low-tariff rate import quota for corn at 7.2 MMT

- China's cut in corn prices set to help struggling processors. Beijing plans to cut the state support price for corn by about 10 percent in the 2015/16 stockpile scheme starting in November. The cut will lower costs for the industry and help the restart of some production capacity that has been suspended for some time

- The USDA on Wednesday is expected to show the largest US corn stockpile since 2006

- CEC raised its estimate of S. Africa's 2015 corn crop to 9.942 MMT from previous forecast of 9.839 MMT and vs. 14.25 MMT in 2014. While traders expected decline to 9.76 MMT

- CEC raised its estimate of S. Africa's 2015 sorghum crop to 116,500 MT from previous forecast of 114,700 MT and vs. 265,000 MT in 2014

SOY

- Traders and analysts expect the USDA to peg US soybean stocks at a four-year high

- Malaysia Palm Oil Council (MPOC) cut palm oil output in Malaysia by 1 MMT to 19 MMT in 2016. It also estimated that prices of palm oil could touch 3000 MYR/mt in 2016 on lower production and weak Ringgit

- Surveyor Intertek Testing Services estimated Malaysia's September 1-30 palm oil exports at 1,532,966 MT up 0.5% from a month ago

- Surveyor SGS estimated Malaysia's September 1-30 palm oil exports at 1,552,149 MT up 0.7% from a month ago

- Pakistan 2015 oilseed imports estimated at 1.58 MMT vs. 1.18 MMT a year ago

- James Fry said soybean oil could trade in discount to palm oil by mid-2016

- Global palm oil output in 2016 could fall below 2015 level due to El Nino and lower fertilizer usage
