- EU in week ended September 15 granted licenses to export 525 TMT of soft wheat, bringing the total this season to 4.216 MMT vs. 5.309 MMT a year ago

- Strategie Grains raised its estimate of EU soft wheat crop by 3.5 MMT from August to 147.5 MMT, which is down just 1.8 MMT from last year. The consultancy also raised its wheat export forecast for 2015/16 marginally to 27 MMT, which is down from record shipments of 32.5 MMT in 2014/15, due to stiff competition in the Black Sea region

- Some analysts in Australia said Australian 2015/16 wheat crop may be more than 27.0 MMT vs. last estimates of ABARES at 25.28 MMT and USDA at 26.0 MMT
