WHEAT

- FranceAgriMer estimates France's 2015/16 soft wheat crop at 40.7 MMT (40.4 MMT – previous) vs. 2014/15 crop at 37.48 MMT with the carryout projected at 2.6 MMT against 2.52 MMT in 2014/15. France's 2015/16 soft wheat exports is forecasted at 18.79 MMT (incl. 11 MMT outside the EU) vs. 19.42 MMT (11.37 MMT) year ago

- Egypt officially extended its allowance for higher-moisture (up to 13.5%) wheat imports for another nine months until the end of May, which should benefit France

- Czech stats office raised its estimate of country's 2015 grain crop to 7.70 MMT from previous estimate of 7.59 MMT, but down 2.9% from last year (7.93 MMT in 2014). Wheat crop is estimated at 5.22 MMT (5.15 - previous and 5.44 in 2014) and barley – at 2.0 MMT (1.99 and 1.97)

- UK exported 76,963 MT of wheat in July vs. 12,111 MT a year ago

- UK imported 136,300 MT of wheat in July vs. 195,515 MT a year ago. Main suppliers were Canada (64.07 TMT), Germany (27.38 TMT) and France (21.44 TMT)

- FAO raised its estimate of global wheat production in 2015 by 5 MMT to 728.4 MMT (733 MMT in 2014) as bigger crops in Australia, EU, Russia and Ukraine, more than offset a downgrade in Canada, where major growing areas continued to be affected by dry conditions

- Russian farmers are expected to increase winter grain plantings to 17.1 mln ha from 16.8 mln ha last year, with 34.9% (or 6 mln ha) of the crop already seeded as of September 9

- Thailand inspects its rice stockpile. Officials have to figure out the exact amount of good-quality and rotten rice in the 13.5 MMT the state has held for several years

CORN

- Sep 9 - Jordan makes no purchases in tenders for 100,000 MT of feed barley

- China reported imports of 70,000 MT of Russian corn

- Celeres forecasts Brazil's 2015/16 corn crop at 87 MMT

- UK imported 183,144 MT of corn in July vs. 100,815 MT a year ago. This volume is a record high for this month of year. Main suppliers were France (85.27 TMT), Netherlands (58 TMT) and Argentina (20.61 TMT)

- FranceAgriMer forecasts France's 2015/16 corn crop at 13.26 MMT vs. 2014/15 record crop of 17.95 MMT with the carryout projected at 2.58 MMT against 2.96 MMT in 2014/15. France's 2015/16 corn exports is forecasted at 5.61 MMT vs. 8.24 MMT year ago

- FranceAgriMer estimates France's 2015/16 barley crop at 12.43 MMT vs. 2014/15 crop at 11.67 MMT with the carryout projected at 1.6 MMT against 0.97 MMT in 2014/15. France's 2015/16 barley exports is forecasted at 8.17 MMT vs. 8.21 MMT year ago

- FAO's forecast for 2015 global coarse grains output has been raised by 7.5 MMT to 1,311.3 MMT, still 19.9 MMT (1.5%) short of the 2014 record. This month's upgrade was mostly driven by Argentina (corn), Brazil (corn), and the United States (corn and sorghum), on better than anticipated growing conditions, more than offsetting a cut in the EU (corn), where dry and hot weather dampened yield expectations

SOY

- Celeres forecasts Brazil's 2015/16 soybean crop at 97.1 MMT

- MPOB estimated Malaysian crude palm oil production in August at a record high of 2.051 MMT vs. 1.816 MMT in July and vs. avg. expectation of 2.0 MMT with stocks at 2.495 MMT up 10% on month and above the market expectations of 2.41 MMT. Malaysian August palm oil exports was at 1.608 MMT, down 0.3% on month and below the average expectation of 1.63 MMT

- Surveyor Intertek Testing Services estimated Malaysia's September 1-10 palm oil exports at 517,600 MT up 3.7% from a month ago

- Surveyor SGS estimated Malaysia's September 1-10 palm oil exports at 514,972 MT up 5.9% from a month ago

- Czech stats office raised its estimate of country's 2015 rapeseed crop to 1.26 MMT from previous estimate of 1.21 MMT, but down 18% from last year (1.54 MMT)
