WHEAT

- Sep 9 - Taiwan Flour Millers' Association bought 56,000 MT of US grade 1 milling wheat from ADM for Nov 1-15 shipment:

  • 29,230 MT of dark northern spring wheat (14.5% protein) at 252.08 $/mt fob
  • 14,470 MT of hard red winter wheat (13% protein) at 231.72 $/mt fob
  • 12,300 MT of soft white wheat (10.5% protein) at 254.31 $/mt fob

The purchase has an additional freight charge of 20.29 $/mt for ocean shipping from the US Pacific North West coast to Taiwan

- Jordan retenders for 100,000 tons of optional origin wheat for Nov-Dec shipment, after not getting enough bids in original tender on Sep 8

- Sep 8 - South Korea's MFG bought 60,000 MT of optional origin feed wheat at 198.95 $/mt c&f+1.25 $/mt surcharge for additional port unloading from German ag cooperative for Jan-Feb shipment and arrival around Mar 15

- Iraq bought 100,000 MT of Canadian hard wheat at 247.20 $/mt c&f free out

- Iran reportedly lowered their import tariff on wheat

- USDA said 94% of the US spring crop has been harvested as of September 6, up from 55% a year ago and vs. a 76% average of the last five years. While 3% of the winter wheat is planted as of September 6, matching the 5-year average pace for the week

- US wheat export inspections for week, ending September 3, recorded 371,343 MT, slightly below the low of market expectations (375-525 TMT)

- France exported 1.24 MMT of soft wheat in July vs. 1.01 MMT a year ago. Country shipped 683,513 MT of soft wheat outside the EU (428,670 MT to Algeria) in July, up 58% compared with July last year and the biggest July volume since 2011

- IKAR lowered its forecast for Russia's 2015 wheat crop to 60.6 MMT from 61.8 MMT previously

CORN

- Sep 9 - Japan bought 12,690 MT of feed grain (1,000 MT of barley and 11,690 MT of wheat) for February arrive via SBS-tender. New SBS tender for 120,000 tons of feed wheat and 200,000 tons of feed barley will be held on September 16

- Sep 8 - USDA announced export sales of 120,000 MT of US corn for delivery to Mexico during the 2015/16

- USDA estimated 68% US corn crop rated good to excellent as of September 6, unchanged from a week ago, and vs. last year's 74%. Analysts had expected a small decline

- US corn export inspections for week, ending September 3, reported 894,609 MT, within the range of analysts' expectations (775-900 TMT)

- France exported 537,699 MT of corn in July, down 3.9% from a year ago

- France exported 934,345 MT of barley in July, up 19% from a year ago. Country exported 702,464 MT of barley outside the EU (699,470 MT to China) in July, up 57% on the same month last year and the biggest volume for July since at least 2000

- IKAR left its forecast for Russia's 2015 barley and corn crop unchanged at 16.9-17.1 MMT and 12.5-13.0 MMT, respectively

SOY

- Sep 8 - USDA announced export sales of 120,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during the 2015/16

- USDA said the US soybean crop condition was rated 63% good to excellent as of September 6, unchanged from a week ago, but below previous year's 72%. Analysts had expected a slight decline in soybean ratings

- US soybean export inspections for week, ending September 3, reported just 93,308 MT, the lowest in about a year, below of trade forecasts ranging from 125,000 to 275,000 MT

- FC Stone estimated Brazil's 2015/16 soybean crop at 100.9 MMT (record) vs. 2014/15 estimate of 96.2 MMT

- India exported 91,834 MT of oil meal in August vs. 44,238 MT a month ago and 132,102 MT a year ago
