- Bangladesh tenders to import 50,000 MT of wheat. The deadline to submit offers under the tender is Sept 15, with validity up to Sept 27, and the wheat has to be shipped within 40 days of signing the contract

- Iraq's state grains board received the lowest offer of Australian wheat at 231.7 $/mt c&f free out in an international tender to purchase at least 50,000 MT of hard wheat. Russian wheat was offered lowest at 234.00 $/mt c&f free out; US wheat was offered lowest at 265.00 $/mt c&f free out and Canadian was lowest at 247.20 $/mt c&f free out. Offers must remain valid up to Thursday, Sept 3

- Aug 28 - Egypt's GASC bought 55,000 MT of Ukrainian wheat from Venus at 190.80 $/mt c&f (177.20 $/mt fob+13.60 $/mt freight) for October 1-10 shipment

- European Commission raised its 2015 soft wheat harvest estimate by 1.3 MMT from last month to 140.7 MMT (vs. 148.8 MMT in 2014)

- German Ag Min estimated 2015 wheat crop at 26.4 MMT, down 5% from a year ago. Germany's total 2015 grains harvest of all types is estimated at 44.6 MMT, down 4.7% on the year

- Sparks Polska estimated this year's Poland wheat crop at about 10.8 MMT, down 13% from 2014

- Bulgaria's Ag Min estimated 2015 Bulgarian wheat crop at 4.6 MMT vs. July's forecast at 4.3-4.5 MMT

- FranceAgriMer said French wheat 2015 crop has a good milling quality

- Russia's Ag Min said Russia exported about 4.506 MMT of grain between July 1-August 26, 2015, down by 36.9% from 7.139 MMT a year ago, including wheat – 3.266 MMT, barley – 1.042 MMT, corn – 171 TMT, other grains – 27 TMT

Sluggish sales of state corn stocks could prompt Beijing to stockpile less new harvest due in September and cut state support prices of corn for 2015/16
