The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Friday, August 28, bought 55,000 MT of Ukranian wheat for October 1-10 delivery:

  • 55 TMT of Ukrainian wheat from Venus at 190.80 $/mt c&f (177.20 $/mt fob+13.60 $/mt freight)

It was the eighth tender since the start of the new fiscal year. GASC has bought 1.06 MMT (650 TMT from Russia, 230 TMT from Ukraine and 180 TMT from Romania) of wheat on the international market since July 1, the start of the 2015/16.

Egypt purchased 5.055 MMT of wheat from abroad in the 2014/15 fiscal year in addition to 5.3 MMT of local wheat
