- Sep 2 - Jordan seeks 100,000 MT of feed barley

- EU in week ended August 21 awarded licences to import 5,400 MT of Ukrainian barley under an annual duty-free quota. The award meant that the EU had now awarded 167,676 MT (67.07%) out of a total volume of 250,000 MT available in 2015

- EU in week ended August 25 granted licences to export 144 TMT of barley, bringing the total this season to 2.379 MMT vs. 1.355 TMT a year ago

- The International Grains Council (IGC) raised its global barley output projection for 2015/16 by 4.5 MMT to 140 MMT, now fractionally lower from the previous season, on improved prospects in the EU, Russia and Ukraine. The world stocks figure was lifted by 2.7 MMT, to 26.9 MMT, up by 4% on year

- Buenos Aires Grain Exchange said Argentina's sorghum harvest 2014/15 has finished and production reached 3.5 MMT, down 18.6% from last year
