- Iraq seeks at least 50,000 MT of wheat that can be sourced optionally from the US, Canada, Australia or Russia. Tender deadline is August 30, and offers must remain valid up to September 3

- Aug 27 - Bangladesh seeks 50,000 MT of wheat

- Aug 27 - Taiwan seeks 49,350 MT of US grade #1 milling wheat

- Aug 26 - Tunisia seeks 100,000 MT of milling wheat and 159,000 MT of durum

- Aug 26 - Bangladesh has rejected a 52,000-MT cargo of French wheat as the grain did not match tender specifications

- Aug 25 - Jordan again made no purchase in an international tender to buy 100,000 MT of hard milling wheat for Nov-Dec. Traders have been citing limited selling interest due to concerns about inspection and payment conditions

- South Korea's Nofi bought 65,000 MT of feed wheat from optional origins at 201.55 $/t c&f+1.25 $/t surcharge for additional port unloading for January shipment

- Thailand has recently bought 300,000 MT of feed wheat from the Black Sea region for shipment between January and April at around 208-210 $/t c&f. Thailand is buying around 150,000 MT of feed wheat a month while the Philippines is taking close to 70,000 MT

- Russia will hold a grain intervention tender this week only in Crimea on Thursday, August 27

- Russian grain producers will freeze exports and sales to the intervention fund, awaiting stabilization of the exchange rate

- Ukraine's Ag Min estimates 2015 wheat crop at 25.8 MMT and forecasts 2015/16 wheat exports at a record high of 15.9 MMT

- Ukraine's Ag Min estimates 2015 all grain crop at 60.5 MMT and forecasts 2015/16 grain exports at a record high of 36.8 MMT

- OAIC said Algeria's grain output reached 4 MMT for the 2015 harvest season, up 14.3% from last year

- Nigeria says will increase domestic production of wheat to cut imports

- Ameropa will build a new grain export terminal in Romania's Black Sea port of Constanta. The total investment amounts to EUR 44 million and will take 24 months to complete

CORN

- Aug 26 - Japan received no offers for 120,000 MT of feed wheat and 200,000 MT of feed barley in a simultaneous buy and sell (SBS) auction. New SBS tender for the same amounts for each grain will be held on Sept 2

- Taiwan Sugar Corp bought 23,000 MT of US corn and 12,000 MT of US soybeans for November-December

- Buyers in Indonesia have covered up to December for supplies of corn, soymeal and DDGs

- Dr. Michael Cordonnier left his US corn yield estimate at 165 bpa and crop at 13.33 billion bu this week

- Argentine government said it would subsidize loans to corn farmers to avoid production cuts

- Ukraine's Ag Min lowered its forecast of this year corn crop to 24.5 MMT from previous forecast of 26.5 MMT

SOY

- Iraq seeks 10,000 MT of sunflower oil. Tender deadline is September 13, and offers must remain valid up to September 17

- Aug 25 - USDA announced export sales of 210,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during the 2015/16

- Dr. Michael Cordonnier raised his projections for the US soybean yield by 2 bu to 46.0 bpa, as last week's rains should help the crop reach its fullest yield potential, resulting in a new soybean crop estimate of 3.81 billion bushels (3.65 billion bu - previous)

- Argentina presidential candidate Macri promises reducing soybean export taxes by 5 percentage points per year and removing quotas on wheat and corn shipments abroad
