WHEAT

- Bangladesh's state grains buyer plans to import 950,000 MT of wheat in the year to June 2016, up from 300,000 MT the previous year. They will seek wheat with 12.5% protein content to ensure quality

- Russia's Ag Min has increased its forecast for the country's 2015 grain crop to 102.9 MMT

- Russia bought 9,855 MT of intervention grain (wheat) in Crimea on Wednesday, August 19, and zero from other regions on Thursday, August 20

- Russia's Ag Min said Russia exported about 3.796 MMT of grain between July 1-August 19, 2015, down by 35.1% from 5.857 MMT a year ago, including wheat – 2.67 MMT, barley – 934 TMT, corn – 169 TMT, other grains – 23 TMT

- Traders expect Britain's wheat crop at 15.5-16 MMT, above a previous range of about 15-15.5 MMT but still below last season's 16.6 MMT

CORN

- The Pro Farmer Crop Tour pegged the US average corn yield at 164.3 bpa and production at 13.323 billion bu vs. USDA's estimate of 168.8 bpa and 13.686 billion bu. For states: Iowa - 181 bpa (vs. 183 estimated by the USDA), Minnesota - 178 bpa (184), Nebraska - 178 bpa (187), Illinois - 169 bpa (172), South Dakota - 160 bpa (160), Ohio - 151 bpa (168), and Indiana 145 bpa (158)

SOY

- Ecuador bought 30,000 MT of soy meal for January

- Denmark bought 50,000 MT of Argentine soy meal for October

- Dominican Rep bought cargo of US soyoil

- China is expected to import 8.25 MMT of soybean in August and 6.8 MMT in September, after record July imports of 9.5 MMT

- The Pro Farmer Crop Tour pegged the US average soybean yield at 46.5 bpa and production at 3.887 billion bu vs. USDA's estimate of 46.9 bpa and 3.916 billion bu. For states: Nebraska - 55.5 bpa (vs. 56 estimated by the USDA), Iowa - 54 bpa (52), Illinois - 50.5 bpa (53), Indiana - 47.6 bpa (49), South Dakota - 47 bpa (45), Ohio - 46.4 bpa (48), and Minnesota - 46 bpa (48)
