- Aug 21 - South Korea's Daehan Flour Mill Co Ltd seeks 23,900 MT of US wheat for November shipment:

  • 9,100 MT of white/soft, protein max. 10.5%
  • 700 MT of white/soft, protein max. 8.5%
  • 5,500 MT of hard red wheat (HRW), protein min. 11.5%
  • 8,600 MT of northern spring/dark northern spring (DNS) min. 14%

- Aug 20 - South Korea's CJ Cheiljedang Corp seeks 27,100 MT of US wheat for November shipment:

  • 17,500 MT of white/soft, protein max. 10.5%
  • 1,700 MT of white/soft, protein max. 8.5%
  • 2,900 MT of hard red wheat (HRW), protein min. 11.5%
  • 5,000 MT of northern spring/dark northern spring (DNS) min. 14%

- Aug 20 - Japan bought 146,721 MT of food wheat for September-October shipment:

  • 26,870 MT of western white US wheat
  • 29,615 MT of hard red winter US wheat
  • 24,870 MT of dark northern spring US wheat
  • 34,746 MT of Canadian western red spring wheat
  • 30,620 MT of Australian standard white wheat

- Aug 19 - South Korea's Nofi tendered to buy up to 65,000 MT of feed wheat for January

- SovEcon expects Russia to export just 3.2 MMT of grain in August, down 1.5 MMT from year-ago. It expects wheat shipments to total 2.5 MMT for the month, down nearly 41% from last year's levels

- Russian farmers have harvested 61.4 MMT of grain (incl. 44.1 MMT of wheat and 11.7 MMT of barley) as of August 19, down from 66.3 MMT (incl. 44.7 MMT of wheat and 13.9 MMT of barley) a year ago. Yields were at 2.85 mt/ha, down from 3.06 mt/ha a year ago

- Ukraine's Ag Min said Ukraine may increase grain exports to over 36 MMT in 2015/16 vs. 34.8 MMT shipped in the previous season. Ukraine is expected to produce around 60,000 MMT of grain this year, up to now was harvested 36.7 MMT (in bunker weigh), including 26.8 MMT of wheat and 8.5 MMT of barley

CORN

- Aug 26 - Jordan seeks 100,000 MT of feed barley for December

- Aug 19 - South Korea's Nofi tendered to buy up to 69,000 MT of corn for March

- Crop scouts (Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour) have found strong yield potential in South Dakota and Nebraska over the tour's first two days, but well below-average yields in Ohio and Indiana

- US Ethanol production for the week ended August 14 held steady at 965,000 barrels per day, unchanged from previous week, but up 3.0% from last year's level. Stocks increased by 32,000 barrels to 18.561 million barrels and up vs. 18.251 million barrels a year ago

- South Korea's Agro Fisheries bought 1,000 MT of non-GMO soybeans from Canada for January

- Surveyor Intertek Testing Services (ITS) estimated Malaysia's August 1-20 palm oil exports at 991,862 MT up 9.3% from a month ago

- Surveyor SGS estimated Malaysia's August 1-20 palm oil exports at 990,835 MT up 9.2% from a month ago
