- Aug 13 - Jordan seeks 100,000 MT of optional origin feed barley for Dec-Jan shipment

- EU in week ended July 31 awarded licences to import 330 MT of Ukrainian barley under an annual duty-free quota. The award meant that the EU had now awarded 161,801 MT (64.7%) out of a total volume of 250,000 MT available in 2015

- EU in week ended August 4 granted licences to export 384 TMT of barley, bringing the total this season to 1.8 MMT vs. 907 TMT a year ago, in a further sign of strong demand in China for French barley

- FranceAgriMer said 65% of France's spring barley crops were in good to excellent condition as of August 3, up 1% from previous week and vs. 63% a year ago. Harvesting of spring barley was 92% complete vs. 75% a week ago and 84% a year ago

- Ukrainian farmers harvested 33.2 MMT of all grains as of August 6, up from 32.0 MMT a year ago. Yields were at 3.55 mt/ha vs. 3.56 mt/ha a year ago. Farmers harvested 8.0 MMT of barley (95% of area) vs. 8.8 MMT a year ago
