- Aug 3 - South Korea's NOFI seeks 55,000 MT of soy meal for October
- South Korea's BFG seeks 55,000 MT of soy meal for December
- July 31 - USDA announced cancellations of export sales totaling 200,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to China during the 2014/15
- July 30 - USDA announced export sales of 140,000 MT of US soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during the 2015/16
- Pakistan bought 66,000 MT of Argentina soybeans for Sept-Nov shipment
- Some analysts are saying China bought 10-15 soybean cargoes last week
- South Korea's MFG bought 60,000 MT of soy meal from South America or China for November shipment
- Weekly US soybean export sales data for week ended July 23 – 1.316 MMT, incl. 416,700 MT for 2014/15 vs. expected sales between 100,000-200,000 MT and 899,100 MT for 2015/16, within market forecasts of 700,000-900,000 MT
- NASS said resumption of monthly US oilseed crush report delayed until Oct 1 from Aug 3 due to lack of responses from fats-oils sector; report was discontinued in 2012 due to budget cuts
- US production of biodiesel was 116 million gallons in May 2015, about 8 million gallons higher than production in April 2015. There were a total of 857 million pounds of feedstocks used to produce biodiesel in May 2015. Soybean oil remained the largest biodiesel feedstock during May 2015 with 443 million pounds consumed
- IGC left its global 2015/16 soybean production forecast unchanged from last month, but it trimmed carryover by 4 MMT from last month to 47.7 MMT (45.7 MMT in 2014/15) due to a boost in usage
- India plans to buy oilseeds and pulses directly from farmers for the first time this year in an effort to become more self-sufficient
- Surveyor Intertek Testing Services estimated Malaysia's July palm oil exports at 1.54 MMT down 6.4% from a month ago
