  • 60 TMT of Ukrainian wheat from Olam at 212.38 $/t c&f (200.5 $/t fob + 11.88 $/t freight from National Navigation)
  • 60 TMT of Russian wheat from Olam at 212.4 $/t c&f (202.4 $/t fob + 10 $/t freight from National Navigation)

- Egypt has enough strategic wheat reserves to last until the end of January

- July 8 - Tunisia bought 117,000 MT of optional (probably Black Sea) origin soft wheat at 208.49-212.10 $/mt c&f for Aug-Sept shipment, but rejected all bids for its durum wheat tender (the smallest offer was at 442.29$/mt c&f for Nov)

- Weekly US wheat export sales data for week ended July 2 – 347,000 MT, incl. 345,900 MT for 2015/16 (expected 300,000-500,000 MT)

- EU in week ended July 7 granted licences to export 467 TMT of soft wheat vs. 21 TMT a year ago

- FranceAgriMer, in a weekly update, rated 75% of soft wheat good or excellent as of July 6, down from 78% a week earlier but above 71% a year ago. Harvesting of soft wheat was under way with 15% of the national area cut by July 6 vs. 3% week ago and 1% last year. The smaller durum wheat harvest was 53% complete, accelerating from 20% the previous week and ahead of the 14% progress a year ago

- In its first outlook for the 2015 harvest FranceAgriMer forecast French soft wheat production of 37.9 MMT, up 1.1% from 2014 and in line with a farm ministry estimate this week

- France AgriMer cut its estimate of French 2014/15 wheat ending stocks to 2.66 MMT from 2.98 MMT last month (2.35 MMT in 2013/14) with non-EU exports of 11.4 MMT vs. 11.1 MMT estimated a month ago

- Russian farmers have harvested 10.0 MMT of grain (incl. 6.9 MMT of wheat and 2.0 MMT of barley), down from 12.4 MMT (incl. 9.2 MMT of wheat and 2.1 MMT of barley) a year ago as of July 10. Yields were at 3.71 mt/ha, up from 3.53 mt/ha a year ago

- Ukraine Ag Min may cut its 2015 grain forecast if hot weather continues. Heavy rains in Ukrainian southern and central regions had delayed wheat harvesting and raise fungus problems. Share of milling wheat in this year's harvest could fall to 50% from 57% in 2014. Last month Ukraine Ag Min estimated 2015 grain crop at 60 MMT and grain exports at 34-37 MMT

- Ukrainian farmers harvested 1.9 MMT of wheat as of July 10, down from 5.5 MMT a year ago. Yields were at 3.31 mt/ha up from 3.12 mt/ha a year ago

- Conab raised its estimate of Brazilian 2015 wheat crop to 7.01 MMT from previous estimate of 6.76 MMT

- FAO left its estimate of 2015 world wheat production unchanged at 723.4 MMT (731.2 MMT in 2014)

- North Korea received enough rainfall in June to ease drought conditions that had been described by Pyongyang as the worst in a century
